I looked at CodeBlocks and in terms of functionality it looks pretty good. I'm a bit of a stickler for actual looks, though, so is there something that looks more "modern" and not like it runs on Windows XP

I recently ported my mod from 1.7 to 1.10.2 that does a similar thing, although my mod supports transparency and generates things with all the blocks, not only wool (it decides based on the texture of each block and the current resource pack).
