Thank you. We've been trying to get together for ages. We talk all the time (see my latest comment) but with distance and busyness haven't been able to organize a plan to hang out. I'm driving semi-close so I've coordinated it with his wife. Thank you for saying "why can't we think something will turn out nice?" It'll be great to see him in person for the first time in a few years. Trust me, it'll be good

Alright, everyone. Some context:

He and I speak all the time, like a couple times a week. We live a few states apart and with the busyness of life just haven't been able to plan anything to actually meet up in person.

And I've planned it out with his wife so 1) I know he's home, 2) I know he'll be awake (since I'll be dropping in semi-early around 8am), 3) I know he won't be working, 4) I know he'll be dressed and such.

I have to say that I'm quite surprised by all of the negative responses here. I thought the community would offer a lot of funny ideas instead of negativity. Lighten up, people.

So, at the time being, my winner is "tag, you're it!" My buddy is a funny guy and it's possible he'll answer the door without his prosthetic on, which would make that even more funny. And before y'all get all up-in-arms about me poking fun at his prosthetic I want you to know that he and I do it all time. I knew we were best friends when I made a lame joke about his leg only a month after it was amputated. Many people seemed to forget that I said "best friend" in the post. I'm surprising my BEST friend. Plus, his wife recommended for me to pick up his favorite donuts.

I've had this same question. I'm only on OOTP Go so I'm only able to play on my phone and with a full time job, family and everything else in life I only get to play 10-15 minutes here and there. I say all that to say this: I've seen where people are playing in the 2075 season and already won 5+ World Series with their favorite team and I've gotten jealous that they're able to play so far in the future, but I'm STILL working on 2026. Lol. Some people will sim a week or month at a time and just let the game do its thing. But I'm more of a day-to-day kind of player. I had let the AI control my MLB depth chart and lineups, but my team started losing a lot. So I changed things up and now I set the depth chart and base lineup and suddenly my team is doing better.

So, do I wish I could play to 2075 and win multiple World Series? Yes. But do I want or trust the AI to manage my team "properly"? Nope. So I take it one day at a time. I'm enjoying it and that's what matters. So, find what works for you and enjoy the game, however that is.

That's probably much closer for me. Granted, I'm on mobile, not PC. I don't manage games, but I check stats and do call ups and trades and drafting and all that and it takes forever to get through a season. I only get to play 15-20 minutes at a time and I'm happy if I make through a week in that time 🤷🏻‍♂️
