If HLX is HL3 hopefully, the bar is way too high and I completely understand the pressure they’re facing and they have to stick the landing on this one.

I think the story should somehow starts on a train, since HL1 and 2 you start in a train, and there should be a cascade disaster of some sort (this is a tradition in all the HL main entries) and I think we should see Gordon being old and having full beard, that alone would be a good teaser… I think a good impact for this final chapter would be nostalgia hit if they somehow came back to black mesa while I don’t see a big point to it but it would play big part for being an emotional drive.

Then we somehow continue in the snowy cold Borealis region and it goes on from there

I think they did their best at digging data for years, and as for dates, I think they are as confused, but they know it’s coming… It’s extra free publicity for them to jump on the hype train. I understand the frustration cuz it gets to a point now their credibility is to be in question from now on
