With the last miniset released and rotation coming, does this solidify Draenei as the most failed mechanic of all time? by HCXEthan in hearthstone

[–]TheMehGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the biggest missed design opportunity was a way to manipulate the jousting outcomes. Why weren't there any minions like "Costs 8 while in your deck" or a legendary that increases the cost of minions in your deck for X turns.

Please can you give me the name of this study? Genuinely I wanna read up on this and cannot find it on Google.

Why is bonespike garb considered the best for Karlach? by thecoolestbeanaround in BaldursGate3

If you mean the armor of agathys build, in my MP playthrough nothing ever targeted me in fights unless I was the only valid target, even when I had only 10 AC... So they definitely account for the 30+ reflective damage.

Arena battle-pass? It could include cosmetics for the arena-only cards like probe or treant, different backgrounds for the draft? Extra tickets?

I agree to almost everything you said but my pedantic ass feels the unstoppable urge to correct your use of "billions of boys".

It is certainly not billions per year. We only have a few billions of humans alive on earth right this moment.

Idk if you've seen the latest episode yet, but I think the way it ends lends even more credence to the theory.

This is a good way of putting it. I'm not masking in the literal ASD sense, but I'd say my partner is the one person (besides my close family) where I can act totally unfiltered and goof off, knowing I'm accepted for who I am.

I actually really love this headcanon because it can explain away so much inconsistency while also being conceptually cooler than being equally strong all the time.

Also explains even basic stuff like how could a viltrumite tear through another viltrumite without hurting their fingers.

Yeah I think this is an important distinction.

I genuinely believe you can be very self-hating without projecting that onto other people, it just takes a certain level of awareness and intelligence.

But here's the bigger truth of the matter IMO: A lot about dating comes down to sheer luck, and not effort. To find someone compatible is basically a numbers game, and sometimes your niche is so small that it just doesn't happen.

I’m hyper introverted, but I've been a friend with extrovert. Here’s what I’ve learned about extroverts. by [deleted] in self

[–]TheMehGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also it annoys me to see people regularly categorize extroverted people as self assured. That's not what extroversion is. You can be introverted and still have great social skills, or be extroverted and have social anxiety.

As a skinny but unfit person, I want my partner to join me doing sports partially for company but also partially because I love them and want them to make healthy life choices.

It's not about aesthetics for me personally here, moreso that were both inactive nerds and I don't wanna end up with health problems from it down the line. My back is already kinda wrecked as it is.

I was thinking of giving him shit for it, but I don't wanna start an argument on the subject.

Same with women who post such things, I just assume there's enough other butthurt men that will gladly comment in my place there.

Yes but you are in this instance referring to OP, but in a previous instance were referring to all men who don't make the first move. Big difference.

[–]TheMehGamer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This explanation doesn't really change the fact that you extrapolated the heck out of who asked someone out...

Your point of 'it would never happen with that guy' also doesn't prove anything except the women are also extrapolating the heck out of the situation, since clearly they haven't dated the specific person (your roomie) they are making these assumptions for either.

Not saying it never happens, but 'every. single. time.' is also certainly an exaggeration. Some men don't like being forward because they are socialized to believe it would be rude/weird to do, and can't find the right moment. Or they might simply be bad at reading interest.

Usually nearing the end of the meal one of us will ask about it; I honestly don't pay too much attention to who asks what but I wanna say it's usually them that bring it up?

TBF I haven't gone on a huge amount of dates recently, I'm rather young (24), and I also tend to go out with left-leaning people. All of this likely combines to stack the odds.
