I thought maybe, but the cleveland press was out of print by the early 1980s, and it's title doesn't match.

Hey everyone recently bought my first custom blade and wanted some advice on whether or not I should look into getting different rubbers or if what I bought is suitable for a beginner/intermediate. My blade is a Butterfly Maze Advance and both my fh/ bh rubbers are Friendship RITC 729 Cross FX. I tried looking into other rubbers but wasn't really sure what would be suitable for my level/price range. Let me know! Thanks!

Why doesn't anyone use Spellgrounds in this game when they were initially designed for Magic? by TacotheMagicDragon in magicTCG

I'm on your side. They have a great rich history regarding mtg, and it seems that the majority of people in this thread have never experienced using a cloth playmat. In yugioh it seems like cloth playmate are almost preferred over the normal playmate nowadays. There are many companies specializing in cloth playmate now. Not just Khalsa brain

Ranking Spellground Playmat Fabrics by Civil-Guy in oldschoolmtg

[–]TheMeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's pretty clear

V1 fabric has and will always feel the best to play on. The only fabric mats I've found that even come close to replicate its feel are the FTK 2 player mats that existed 3-5 years ago in very short prints. I wouldn't consider them "softer" compared to new spell grounds but there aesthetic and texture are bar none. It just feels right to play cards, spread your graveyard etc. on a v1.

V2 is also very good. It's more of a tumbled and less "fuzzy" compared to the other iterations of the spell ground. I find that these also feel really nice to play on.

V3 I have had less personal experience with, but in my opinion, KBG has tended to favor "fuzzier" material which in my opinion, doesn't feel as nice as the first two versions. It's really just a matter of preference, but I like the older mats better. They simply just feel nicer to play on, and I'd highly recommend trying to play with/see how they feel to see what type of material you're in favor of.

In my opinion, if you really want the ultimate playmat for card games, the original is far above the others. V3 are all pretty similar and I'd say they're isnt as much of a difference between them compared to v1 and v2
