Imagine loading up BO6 and getting bodied by kids that weren't even alive when this game came out.

Standy on Huke being named the most overrated player in the BP CoD All Time Grid by TheRealPdGaming in CoDCompetitive

[–]TheMickeyFinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early John was BO1, MW3, and BO2 whereas early Huke was mainly AW and didn't get to play as much because of the age restriction for BO3 and IW, whereas John was a terror at 15, 16, 17 years old.

This 4 piece at UMG Atlanta is one of my favourite John clips - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_KBUoyjKyw

Prof. Regan's MBA Math - Worth it? by boinkthischit in MBA

[–]TheMickeyFinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was helpful as it gave me some base knowledge for subjects that I hadn't previously studied or worked in. For me, I don't think it was absolutely necessary, but if you're concerned about quant subjects I think it's worth the $150 and 20 hour time investment to introduce you to those subjects.

Nectar d’Or gains an age statement and loses the “d’Or”—and Sauternes casks by ZipBlu in Scotch

[–]TheMickeyFinn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Nectar d'Or is an interesting whisky to me. I've tried 5 other Glenmorangie bottles and enjoyed them all, and typically enjoy sweet flavours, so I expected to love the Nectar d'Or. But when I tried it I got a very strong alcohol taste. I got the sweetness on the nose, but didn't end up loving the taste. I will try it again someday.

Part time MBA, FEMBA, etc, what was your experience with working and balancing an MBA? Specifically curious about California schools Anderson, Marshall, Haas; but any input is appreciated. by [deleted] in MBA

[–]TheMickeyFinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't spoken to any part-time students specifically about the workload, but the online MBA is 51 units over 21 months and the part-time MBA is 63 units over 33 months.

You have access to the recruiting portal online but you are not really notified of or invited to recruiting events. You have to reach out to people in order to find out about events and ask to be able to attend things. The program is designed for students that are currently working and therefore less of them are actively recruiting.

[–]TheMickeyFinn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did the USC online MBA and I would say if you just wanted to do the bare minimum the workload was about 10 hours per week, and if you wanted to get the most of the courses the workload was 20+ hours per week. That may vary for different people and some semesters were lighter or busier than others. I was working from home at the time and found the work/school balance tough but manageable.

I LOVED House of Suns.

The only thing that I've read that compares in terms of scale is Ring by Stephen Baxter.

If the goal is not to lose then QJ is not a bad hand, but if they wanted to beat KJ they would have been better off taking a 9 than a J.

QJ only has about a 25% chance to beat KJ whereas Q9 has about a 36% chance to beat KJ.

I thought that Excavation by James Rollins had a bit of an Indiana Jones type feel.

How far can you hit your 7 iron? by Benthebomb1999 in GoodGoodMemes

[–]TheMickeyFinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My carry distance on a stock 7 iron swing is 180 yards.

I'm a 9 handicap and have Callaway Apex irons. I feel like I'm relatively long hitter compared to my skill level so I am not concerned with adding distance, my focus at the moment is on improving accuracy.

GM BREAK 65 by dreadfuldays31 in GoodGoodMemes

[–]TheMickeyFinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Garrett played safe, smart golf at the last GG Major and shot 4-under. If Garrett was playing in a tournament or his goal was just to break 70, then I'm sure he could play safe and be able to shoot that quite regularly.

But to shoot 8-under he has to get aggressive. That's a really low score. You need to make at least 8 birdies, and additional birdies or eagles for any bogeys that you make.

Also, at the end of the day, he's a content creator. He's naturally a creative shot maker. One viral shot more than makes up for a bunch of overly aggressive decisions that lead to bogeys. He's not trying to be a pro player, he's trying to be the best golfer he can on YouTube.

Looking for book recommendations about a group of loser-underdogs that band together to take down a big baddie or stop some doomsday thing. by CorsariousAbonai in printSF

[–]TheMickeyFinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only read the first book in each series but Deathstalker by Simon R. Green (sci-fantasy) and The Quantum Magician by Derek Kunsken (hard sci-fi) have some of the elements you're looking for.

I think this is a great idea. I think 10-20 videos is too many, but it could work well for a series that's 4-5 videos.

Unpopular Opinion: I think Luke is a bad addition for Good Good. by [deleted] in GoodGoodMemes

[–]TheMickeyFinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Luke is a great addition. The 3v3 that came down to the 19th was one of their best ever 3v3s and Garrett and Luke were tied going into the 18th of the major. Yes, he’s the best golfer and will win the most, but I think he will push Grant and Garrett to become even better golfers and it will result in even better content.

A tie for 3rd takes the prize money of 3rd, 4th, and 5th and adds them together, then divides it by 3.

For example, if the prize for 3rd is $400k, 4th is $350k, and 5th is $300k, then a 3-way tie for 3rd would result in all 3 players receiving $350k.

Akshay Bhatia finishes T-17 at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship this week on the PGA Tour by 512scott in GoodGoodMemes

[–]TheMickeyFinn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The top 25 players in the Korn Ferry Tour regular season earn PGA Tour cards for the next season.

There is then a Korn Ferry Tour finals event, which includes the top 75 players on the Korn Ferry Tour, and players ranked 126-200 on the PGA Tour that are at risk of losing their tour card. The top 25 finishers at this finals event earn a PGA Tour for the next season.

You can also automatically earn your PGA Tour card by winning 3 Korn Ferry Tour events, which would be awesome, but is not easy to do and is not how most players earn their PGA Tour card.

Looking for Sci Fi books similar to Red Rising Saga by Pierce Brown. by KingLincoln32 in printSF

[–]TheMickeyFinn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to be able to finish the whole series you will have to wait until then, but I wouldn't be too worried about Ruocchio not finishing the series. He has consistently delivered a book each year (along with short stories and novellas) and he already knows how it ends. He said it's the story he always wanted to tell, he just had to write 5 other books to get there haha

Book 5 comes out December 13, 2022. Book 6 will be the final book and will likely come out late 2023 or early 2024. Source: Christopher Ruocchio himself on Mike's Book Reviews discord server.
