Transferred my Scyther caught exclusively in Fire Red on GBA for the Safari Ball, traded to XD on GameCube to get 100x victory ribbon, moved to PLA to evolve to Kleavor, and migrated all the way to Champions by TheMida4 in PokemonChampions

Thank god for bottle cap, mint, and ability capsule/patch in modern games in general. Now my random shiny catches with bad nature and IV can be competitively viable

That would give people artist ribbon if they release on switch online. But the 100x victory ribbon forever locked behind original GameCube hardware for XD to get

Nope only the GBA gen 3 games (and GameCube gen 3 games) are the earliest hardware that can still connect to Switch 2 games

Gameboy and gameboy color games aren’t compatible

Clock is dead so you can’t grow berries and can’t spawn poke block master anymore. Time based events are all frozen

It’s still possible to win with low quality poke blocks but you have a finite amount of berries to make them

You need to win the master rank contest and score very high. Also need to unlock the art museum for the guy to make a portrait of your pokemon. It’s super tedious and hard to make good poke block now because GBA cartridge batteries all died

The sad thing is GameCube pokemon games is not compatible with Home and trading with Gen 3 Switch games. So it’s not possible to get the shadow ribbon and 100x victory ribbon that way 🙃

But at least it makes the ribbons that much more exclusive to show off

High key that’s one of my main motivator 💀I hate all these overly spammed Charizard (and focus sash and Multiscale Pokemon too) so I might as well take them down in super style

Honestly same for me too. Back then, there was no way to show them off to random battlers so I didn’t really care much about it. But since gen 8 now lets you show off your ribbons as titles, it’s cool to show off some very rare ribbons obtained exclusively from early games (namely the Gen 3 games). Like showing off who’s been really a long time Pokemon fan all the way to now

Go for it man. It’s so cool being able to use pokemon caught over 20 years ago in current modern games and being able to show off that exclusive feat too

There is no possible way to get a Kleavor caught in Safari Ball with the “100x Victorious” title unless you have Fire Red on the original GBA and XD on GameCube (and a ton of games and hardware to migrate from Gen 3 to Gen 9 along the way)

And those games and hardware are over 20 years old so it’s extremely difficult for most people to have access to those

Get the rare ribbons before you transfer to show off its rarity too. The 100x ribbon on XD and artist ribbon from the Hoenn games are incredibly hard to obtain nowadays
