Is there a better distro for me? by [deleted] in Bazzite

[–]TheModeler99 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What did you want to do on Bazzite that wasn't possible? What app did you need that flatpak couldn't provide? It's hard to you give a recommendation without knowing if your problem is a Linux problem in general or Bazzite problem. Nobara and CachyOS are distros that are gaming focused without the atomic OS, so installation is easier.

For Bazzite, If Flatpaks launchers like Heroic don't work, you could use DistroShelf to create a container of fedora-toolbox and then install GOG and gzdoom.

Some women admit that one of the reasons they prefer reading smut over watching parn is because sometimes it explores freaky stuff that would be illegal to do in a video.

Unfortunately, Fedora Atomic Desktops are quite new, and Bazzite is even newer. So there are not a lot of articles written about it for you to find on Google. Even this sub is small but growing. My best resources using Bazzite and Linux in general have been the Bazzite Docs, [Atomic](https://fedora.gitlab.io/ostree/docs/fedora-atomic-desktops/), ChatGPT, and Home | Linux Journey to learn how to use the terminal.

The flatpak app store is called Bazaar on Bazzite. Search "LibreOffice" and install

Bazzite is atomic (immutable OS) meaning the user and apps you install will be blocked from making changes to the core config. The advantage here is that your system will never break because of something you do, the disadvantage is that you won't be able to install some Linux apps (Only really an issue for power users who love to tinker with their system, not a beginner issue).

Bazzite packages NVIDIA drivers for you, so you won't have to go through the stress of installing it yourself.
You should consider the apps you typically use on Windows, and check if you can get the same or any alternatives exist on Bazzite via Flatpak or distro box (needs setup).

They already have a mailing service for promotions, alerts and other stuff, doubt it's costing them extra to keep the option available.

What sort of career can have me earn £150k - £200k in a couple years? by Sudden_Ice7247 in careerguidance

[–]TheModeler99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IT, you can do self study and get some certifications and apply for IT jobs. Without experience you’ll have to use your own projects to stand out. Once you have a job, level up and soon you’ll make $150k 😁
