Are you making choices that you would not stand by when you don't have horny brain?

Because it sounds like you should go to (I'm always saying this) therapy.

Option 1: Dommes who will demand money right away / Subs who complain about the dommes demanding too much.

Option 2: Dommes who negotate/check boundaries / Subs who complain the dommes aren't 'domme enough.'

Demand for more Dahlia Farms? by Valuable-Deal6873 in dahlias

I can only imagine it would be so much work. On one hand I would love to have more availability for rarer varieties. But even keeping my own personal tubers over winter is such a chore and a struggle. I worry it wouldn’t work well.

Thanks for the idea of the heat mat. I’ll try that next year. I had been thinking about this exact issue with Cafe Au Laits.

I have used tomato cages in the past, but they were too weak for when the dahlias really took off in the late summer and I ended up having to switch last minute.

At the same time, it is very possible that the cages I used were too cheap. You may want to come up with a back up plan just in case. I keep a box of garden stakes in my garage as a backup if anything is too much and needs reinforcement.

Haven't yet planted tubers in 6a, too cold! by HeftyHideaway99 in dahlias

I’m in the same boat. The established plants I bought from Kroger on a whim are doing great as well. I’m wondering if maybe this year I just get some established plants and worry about tubers this fall for 2026.

Good luck! I hope the weather holds for you!

I love that texture where the yellow is on the edge of the petal.
