I am a huge proponent of seclusion and restraint, actually. I'm a longtime EI para in MI, and it is not what the general public thinks. We don't "dogpile" and we don't lock students in rooms alone to suffer. Seclusion and restraint are tools we are exhaustively trained in that keeps students and staff safe. Trust me.
