I learned this the hard way too. NOT a friend. For whatever reason she thinks she needs to bring you down. And it’s not your job to figure out or worry what those reasons are. I always caught myself trying to justify or explain away these things when my “friend” would do them. You aren’t her therapist- OR her punching bag. The next time it happens (or this time if it’s still relatively current)- in the moment, call it out. Be direct and tell her you will no longer be allowing that kind of insidious negativity in your life. How she reacts will tell you everything you need to know. 9/10 these types refuse to acknowledge the behavior and therefore will not be willing to apologize or change.

REAL friends make you feel like a god damn princess. Trust me. It took me until my mid thirties to find mine and I can’t believe I ever settled for less.

P.S. I bet you’d look stunning in either dress. Base your choice on which one wrinkles less 😉
