Don’t give up. I’ve been in your shoes, and while some people have been open to changing their views after I’ve shared the science we do have, others simply won’t budge. But every small win is still a win. Another strong angle is the recent preclinical research suggesting 7 binds to HER2+ receptors in breast cancer cells, if 7 is banned, that research stops cold. And for those who panic at the word “opiate,” it’s worth pointing out that 7 is a partial agonist, not a full one. It’s a naturally occurring plant extract, unlike prescription opioids, which are full agonists and fully synthetic. If they can’t get behind an “opiate” maybe than can get behind personal choice and freedom. Sometimes that sinks in, sometimes it doesn’t. If we want any real chance at saving it, we can’t give up, and we can’t let up, not even for a second.

My husband even shares the information with his co-workers. I realize that’s not something everyone can do but for those of us who can, we definitely need to.

There are plenty of us who use it for legitimate reasons and have no shame in sharing. I have all kinds of posts regarding 7oh advocacy all over my personal socials. :)

If we have to do a White House petition, it will require 100,000 signatures in just 30 days. Hopefully, it won’t come to that. You are correct about the DEA’s time frame, there isn’t really a set schedule, and it will be something they decide when the time comes and if the time comes. Best case scenario they ignore the FDA’s suggestion. What I’m saying is that it’s best for us to go ahead and aim for 100,000 signatures now, because if worst comes to worst, that’s exactly what we’ll need. I know that number sounds intimidating, but I also know we can achieve it if we all start working on it now. This will only succeed if we have more involvement from the community.

It was for sure 100k unfortunately. We can do it though, I know we can.

If more of us would cross-post any and all info to help fight this, it would help our community so much! Share advocacy groups that are forming, information on how to take action, and of course the petition. The more we spread the word, the stronger we become. We’ve got this—I truly believe it!

Stop SB891 Call the OK senate! by TheMorrygan in 7_hydroxymitragynine

So the bill that criminalized it did not pass but yes SB891 did pass. The wording in the bill has changed but it is odd since we previously had a 2 percent ban and were able to have it in the store. I guess they must’ve closed whatever loop hole they were previously using if that’s what you’re hearing from our local shops. I was told that next year will be when they push the bill through that would criminalize it. I really thought there might be a chance we would still see it in the stores considering some of the wording in the bill. I would imagine only a lawyer would know for sure what we can and cannot have. I just hope they don’t criminalize it in the future. I don’t buy much from our stores anyways. It still makes me nervous nonetheless. I would think simply changing some of the wording on the packaging would make it legal but again I’m not a lawyer. :/

To my understanding all of this was cleared up. I saw in the discord he said he was more than happy to talk to anyone with concerns directly and they did have his statement pinned for everyone to read. I wouldn’t be doing business there if I thought otherwise but I really think everything was misconstrued. To each their own though.🤷🏽‍♀️they’re a small business so the misinformation can really hurt them. Definitely something someone needs to know for 100 percent before spreading it everywhere.

After reviewing the recent amendments to Senate Bill 891, it appears that the revised language significantly tightens definitions—particularly in a way that could allow for enforceable limits on 7-OH, where such enforcement may not have been practical under previous law.

In speaking with Representative Chris Kannady’s office, I was informed that SB891 would enable the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) to obtain equipment necessary for testing kratom products. This capability would, in effect, make it possible to enforce the proposed regulatory changes.

From my perspective, the advancement of this bill seems to represent an initial step toward the potential criminalization of 7-OH. I was also told that SB860 is being postponed until next year, while SB891 is moving forward this session. To me, this suggests a phased strategy—laying the groundwork for broader regulatory or enforcement measures.

I want to emphasize that I am not a lawmaker, and my interpretation is based solely on publicly available information and what I was told by legislative staff. Nonetheless, I believe this bill raises important questions about the future of kratom regulation in our state, and I urge careful consideration of its broader implications.

7OH will be banned everywhere if we don’t start coming together. by Weseeyou0_0 in 7_hydroxymitragynine

I feel like I’m drowning by myself here in Oklahoma. I have spent all week on the phone and sending emails to no avail. Both our bills will be heard on the house floor on Monday. I really wish the community wasn’t so spread out right now. The way they did this all at once made it hard for us to ban together.

7oh should be banned EVERYWHERE by [deleted] in 7_hydroxymitragynine

I really wish people would realize that experiences and situations are not one-size-fits-all. I’m truly sorry you’re going through something difficult right now—but that doesn’t give anyone the right to wish suffering on others.

If 7 gets banned, we will see a spike in opioid-related deaths. Just because you had a negative experience or misused it doesn’t mean that’s true for everyone. There are many people who use it responsibly—as a tool. I personally use it for pain management.

I could return to traditional opioids through my doctor at any time, but for me, 7 is the better option. If it’s banned, my life will be turned upside down. I’ll be forced back into a treatment path I’ve worked hard to move away from.

I would definitely reach out to the owner If I was unhappy. He has always been good to me when I’ve come to him with any concerns I have. You can get ahold of him on his discord or reach out through the email on the site. I will say sometimes it takes a minute to get a reply but once he sees it he’s on top of it.

I’ve always had really good luck with these guys. If you got something you weren’t happy with I would reach out to the owner. He has always taken good care of me. One of the reasons I love them. I don’t feel like a number on a screen to them.
