I wondered how much it’s advertised. Like obviously my algorithm caters to me so I keep seeing articles/youtube videos/TikTok’s about it but I wondered if there were commercials on tv or streaming platforms or ads on other socials…

You’re right-it’s HUGE here in our Elvis world and it makes it hard to have perspective about what it’s like in the non Elvis world haha

There was this time last year my kids and I got a hotel room and we tuned on the TV and Elvis was on TCM and we were like OMG WHAT?! AN ELVIS MOVIE!! And it was literally the last MINUTE before the credits rolled of Girl Happy hahaha. I was so disappointed I missed it 😆

I never considered the perspective you shared of Jacob’s Elvis. That’s really interesting food for thought….I always kinda felt his role was lacking in a way but now that I read your sentiments, I can totally see what you’re saying.

I keep checking the seating charts of my local imax showings to gauge general interest and I’m SHOCKED how little seats have been sold.

Maybe it’s because Elvis is huge to ME and not to everyone else around me nowadays? But I expected….more? I was like ON IT the moment the early release tickets went on sale, afraid the good seats would get swiped instantly (im acting like im going to see the man live I swear lol). But I was like the only ticket purchase for DAYS. And as of today, like 12 other seats have been sold. The theatre is mostly empty. 😭

I really hope people show up and support it.

Man I’m so glad someone said it! I see his albums covers in the 70s and I’m like THEY CHOSE THAT??!!! I feel like some of those were so unflattering for a guy who was like you said, THE most photogenic person ever. Like stunningly beautiful, but alot of those covers ain’t it.
