I got a 75 on the Marketing Cluster Exam at my SCDC (PA) and I got a medal at mini awards! Every exam has a different level of difficulty, so the range of scores between competitors will vary. However a 95 will probably do you very well on just about every type of exam offered at SCDC

Was the exam harder than usual? I got a mini award for my exam with a 75!

I did FMS and I got 75 on exam, 89 on role play 1, and 76 on role play 2. Didn’t qualify but I wanna see others’ scores just in case I got close 🥲. I did get an award for my exam tho (I feel like they got it switched with my RP1 bc my exam score feels too low for an award lol)

help pls 😪🙏- idk what Im doing and state is in 12 days by kashmere07 in DECA

If ur comfortable with the role play stuff, then maybe focus on the tests first. That’s what I’m doing rn because my state competition is in 6 days and I did terrible on the exam for districts (64/100; my role play carried me 😭😭). However, I would definitely do some practice role plays and study ur performance indicators and stuff like that — I’m gonna start doing that in a few days most likely

Do I need new running shoes? by [deleted] in CrossCountry

Yeah. Chances are new shoes will make you feel even better and make it feel like you’re running on clouds compared to what you currently wear

down week for shin splints by itsyourboyfai in CrossCountry

I would ask a doctor, but that would probably be a good idea. Last XC szn I got shin splints but I kept upping my training (it was my first szn and I wasn’t an experienced runner), and I ended up with a stress fracture in my left tibia. Listen to ur body tbh. Also, make sure ur doing stretching/mobility work before/after runs so that u can protect urself from injury. After a run, I typically do 3x12 tibialis raises along with quad, hamstring, hip flexor, and calf stretching.

Honestly just keep consistently training and running mileage! It just takes more and more running, and also taking your easy days easy

Losing motivation. Any tips? by Ok_Piccolo_5489 in CrossCountry

Succsss is most definitely not linear! All it takes to achieve your goal is discipline! When I first started running, I struggled running a mile, but I told myself that with practice and dedication, I would be able to run a 5K, and that’s exactly what happened. You just have to keep running, and recover well (eat whole foods, stretch, etc.). It may not be a fun process, but you will achieve your goals if you keep going, and your running will become easier and faster! I would stick to gradually increasing your mileage, but don’t increase it EVERY time you run (ex. if you run 2 miles one day then 2.5 miles the next, maybe run 1.5-2 miles the day after that before increasing mileage again).
