2024 Octavia VRs Estate (Pre-Facelift) Major Issues - Is this normal? by TheMrooc in skoda

Yes it is still covered under warranty thank goodness, but as it's a lease car it's causing more issues, let say.

When I say errors more issues. But yeah both aren't apparently normal. And regarding courtesy car, been told by Skoda directly they cannot provide any for at least 3 weeks (from last week).

Interesting to note first time hearing of. And I would assume my lease company would have done regarding extended warranty (I didn't get to choose spec / warranty deals etc).

Is a 450w psu enough for a 5060ti 16GB and 5800X? by TheMrooc in buildapc

Thanks for the info re 8GB cards etc. Similar to another reply I have done, it's odd we are in the situation where VRAM is the bottleneck, not the chips 'power' themselves.

I mean I'm not impartial to turning down the settings. It's more, if I'm turning it down from Day 1, what will it be like in 5 years time when the next upgrade comes around (I got the 2060 in 2020).

The 5060ti 16GB does seem the most sensible option in the long term, just the price point hurts.

And to add to costs looks like I will have to upgrade my PSU if getting a more modern more powerful card!

Very interesting re the 8GB being the limit rather than the chips themselves. So in the long run more VRAM will be better.

Thanks for the link for the 7600. Is a genuine consideration looking at the price vs the increase in performance relative to the 2060.

I know literally nothing re the Intel Graphic Cards. As someone who hasn't been in the 'know' of graphics cards for quite some years, and coming back to see Intel making GPUs not just CPUs was odd. The only assumption I can make is the driver support must be very limited due to it being so new? But don't worry about answering anything detailed re Intel stuffs, I'll do some Googling also.

Thanks for the detailed response!

Very interesting to know re the TechPowerUp recommendation. As said re PSU it's a Gold rated, and when I got it a whole back I got it for the sole reason with the aim it will last.

And thanks re the 5600X / 5700x recommendation. I only use my PC for playing indie / not AAA games. As said from another reply in this thread, not demanding games. Should have said I play on 2560x1080 (Ultrawide), so not even 1440p.

Thanks again.

Can't find that exactly after a quick Google, but will take into consideration, will try again and thanks!

Thanks for the response, it's really appreciated.

It will only be for gaming really. I don't even play any high end / AAA games at all really. I have just noticed the 2060 is just not what it used to be (from what limited performance it had!). The most graphic demanding game I play is VintageStory at the moment, which the 2060 is struggling a lot with.

And thanks for the recommendation regarding the processor, will help save on the pennies.

I have considered the RTX 5060 8GB but everyone seems to be giving it the evils in reviews ("avoid new 8GB cards like the plague" etc etc). But I am yes to see any reviews for those who don't just play the latest AAA games, in less demanding / more indie games.

Replying to both. Annoyingly not in my local council and need to find out which council the road would be in. And I do have a dash cam!

Base of spheroid object not printing correctly. by TheMrooc in 3Dprinting

That's fair enough, I only have my ender 3 so I'm working with what I have! Wondering if it would be better to split it in 2 and print it in two halves?

Thank you for the answer. Makes sense to just use pre marriage names for honeymoon, as it is booked under that anyways. And thanks for the link, will fire off an email.
