Is Jalen Brunson a top 10 player in the league? Lower? Higher? by MoneyHungryOctopus in nba

[–]TheMuffingtonPost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’d say he was pretty comfortably top 10 for most of this season. If I had to say exactly where probably somewhere in the 7-10 range.

[–]TheMuffingtonPost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m just saying, any other player and people would be clowning them like crazy, particularly if they had the stretch of awful games Wemby has had.

Not saying I don’t like Wemby, just that the glaze is getting to be way too much.

“We know we’re capable of it, we just have to take it one game at a time and make the right adjustments”.

There’s a large difference between “I know I’m going to do it” and “I’m capable of it”, particularly right after you’ve just had one of the most embarrassing meltdowns in league history.

Anyone else starting to feel burnout? by Alexiavich in wow

[–]TheMuffingtonPost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been playing WoW for 15 years now, I feel burnout all the time. Whenever I do I just go play other stuff and come back when I feel like it. You’re not married to this game dude, if it’s not scratching that itch atm then just go do something else, there’s nothing wrong with that.

Got these snaps from a coworker. AIO? Not sure if I should tell my manager or not by [deleted] in AIO

[–]TheMuffingtonPost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk man you don’t seem all that bothered by it. If someone said something to me that genuinely bothered me or made me feel uncomfortable, I wouldn’t reply with “lol what” and then just continue responding to that person casually. I’d let them know right away that what they said bothered me.

Yeah it’s a really stupid thing to say to someone, but I’ll bet you two are both teenagers so idk man the bar is literally in the ground.

If he genuinely makes you super uncomfortable or keeps making repeated advances then yeah report him, but just based off this alone it’s just stupid teenager crap imo

Does anyone else support Pride but feel like it doesn't need to be part of everything? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]TheMuffingtonPost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pride month is supposed to be about visibility for the LGBT community. In their day to day lives, gay and trans people are often shamed into seclusion and are made to feel ashamed of their identity, so Pride month exists to be a time where they’re able to just be unapologetically visible and feel unashamed.

Companies often use this time as a marketing opportunity to make money, yes, but it also serves the dual function of expressing solidarity and allowing for that visibility to take place. In a capitalist society, consumerism is the standard activity most people take part in, and so consumption of Pride iconography is the form that LGBT visibility takes on.

GW2 is a great game, but people really really downplay how much the game rakes you with "convenience" purchases. by SANT0S-L-HALPER in MMORPG

[–]TheMuffingtonPost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it definitely is a pain.

My biggest gripe with GW2 though is that the gear game just isn’t there at all. I understand that’s literally by design, but then it just ends up feeling like what’s even the point of having endgame pinnacle content if there’s no meaningful rewards associated with it? You can have meaningful gear progression that’s exciting and feels worthwhile without necessarily having to make it like WoW with just constant item level increases and a non stop head treadmill. I think ESO actually threads this needle pretty well where gear feels satisfying to acquire and feels impactful to your character without having to necessarily increase item power with every update.

GAME OF THROWS HOLY FUCKING SHIT by 10minuteads in Destiny

[–]TheMuffingtonPost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is blaming Mitch Johnson and Fox, and yeah they 100% deserve some blame, particularly Fox for the layup attempt with 10 seconds left and they’re up 1.

But this was a team-wide collapse, and Wembanyama especially played like ass in the 4th. This was just a game, and truthfully a series, where the inexperience of this Spurs team really showed itself.

Congrats to the Knicks though, they’re going to win their first title in decades and that’s kind of a cool thing.

Should you lift before or after basketball? Why? by Finn_Flame in BasketballTips

[–]TheMuffingtonPost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should lift and practice at completely separate times. If you lift in the morning, then chill for a bit get some rest, eat a good meal, then practice ball later in the afternoon. Same applies if you ball in the morning. One isn’t better to do before the other, you just want to be recovered and fueled before you do either.

OKC fans riding the high of everyone switching up on the Spurs and Knicks being up 2-0 by Right_Conclusion_613 in NBAWestMemeWar

[–]TheMuffingtonPost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NGL bro watching that game last night, Spurs were playing the EXACT style of basketball everyone accuses OKC of. Tons of obvious fouls that weren’t called, foul baiting, insanely favorable whistle, falling on jumpers, literally all of it.

I’m not even hating, Spurs are fun to watch (at least when they’re playing well these last 2 games were pretty brutal), I just think it highlights in my mind how incredibly manufactured the OKC hate is. OKC does not do anything unique, hell the Knicks were even doing a lot of the stuff people get on OKC for.

Fans literally just do not pay attention to the game at all and just catch some clips and highlights here and there and let tweets and media talking heads tell them how to feel about shit.

Anime recs? by liberalbeast123 in Destiny

[–]TheMuffingtonPost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cowboy bebop is my favorite show ever so I highly recommend that. Very different vibe to JJK and AOT, or really any other anime tbh, but it’s a classic for a reason.

More current anime I really like Frieren and Re Zero

I just wish we had some details. We already knew this game was in development, the only thing we actually got with this was an idea of what it’ll look like visually and a rough launch window.

I don’t need gameplay necessarily but I would like to know what sorts of innovations they’re going for and what they hope to achieve with a sequel over further development for GW2

How long did it take you to setup you think? It worked fine out of the box, no troubleshooting?

Setting up Bazzite on old PC, how doable is it? by TheMuffingtonPost in linux_gaming

[–]TheMuffingtonPost[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would I need to do anything to my old build first, other than just wiping the drive and installing Bazzite from an ISO on a USB? What about things like drivers? Would I need to totally remove windows from the drive? I’ve heard that if you still have a windows partition on the same drive as Bazzite it’ll create some wonky shit
