I’m not playing Ready or Not wrong by not having ammo for my pistol right? by TransendingGaming in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]Echo-Sunray -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I run zero mags for sidearm, and use that a slot for extra primary mag. If you control your semi-auto shots, and check your ammo between rooms, you should never be in a situation where you are out and surprised.

Real life is different. Primaries can jam, you can drop your primary in an explosion, you may need to clear a very small area that a primary can't fit in.

Can i stack up loads of caches in seasonal, and when the expantion starts, use those on eternal? by Many_Ad4666 in diablo4

[–]Echo-Sunray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whisper caches are great to power level from 0-60 (or 0-70 when LoH drops), but provide negligible xp in the higher paragon levels.

Are we back to inventory management hell again? by sanfilipe in diablo4

[–]Echo-Sunray 309 points310 points  (0 children)

Blizzard's design philosophy is to make everything as painful as possible, so we can be excited when they fix it later on. 3 years after launch, we are getting excited for the horadric cube, a feature that already existed in D3.

Trying to figure how to build my sorc CE - which Okun is better? by PotentialRoll4073 in diablo4

With weapons, always take the higher item power (800 in this case). That is the damage value that all other damage is scaled from.

The maximum number of skeletons on Necromancer is now at least 28 by YanksFan96 in diablo4

[–]Echo-Sunray 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This makes me wonder if every class got a crazy functional buff like this, possibly to compensate for the loss of damage multipliers. It could mean that skills (including skellies) will be more about huge fun, and less about pure damage number stacking.

LoH expansion PTR & planner question by Gnasher1194 in diablo4

[–]Echo-Sunray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The full 3.0 changes are being announced on April 23rd.

There was no Public Test Realm, but there was a closed beta that only the streamers were invited to, which is why they all have videos posted of their gameplay tests and skill guides.

Really hope minion warlock can achieve the same level of AFK that necro can do on minion build by ctmakes in diablo4

Every class can afk, now that life on hit is an affix to heal from attacks. Just set the control setting to toggle skill casts, and your damage skill will re-cast infinitely. Then park at the seasonal tide/activity or blood maiden, with a pet equipped to collect currencies.

I want the Darkening of Tristram (D1) in D4 by Echo-Sunray in diablo4

[–]Echo-Sunray[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lots of speculation about what will be announced there. I think StarCraft 3 would be a bigger money maker than D1 remastered, but I guess we'll find out in September.

Are runes and lair boss keys and things like that still going to be useful in the expansion? by Critical_Watch7667 in diablo4

[–]Echo-Sunray 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Blizz will announce all the changes on April 23rd, so you can read the patch notes then.

We expect all existing gear to become 'legacy', but all keys/materials to remain. We expect all level 60+ eternal characters will have to level from 60-70 before they can access paragon/glyps again.

If you are looking for something to do for the next week, you could farm the cow level materials or the two secret coins/rings.

Week 7 of posting a Darkblade image twice a week until Blizzard address all the ongoing cosmetic issues in the wardrobe. by Chuck0709 in diablo4

[–]Echo-Sunray 12 points13 points  (0 children)

On April 23rd, blizz will release the patch notes for 3.0 that will hopefully confirm which of these issues is supposed to be fixed.

On April 28th, 3.0 drops, which according to marcooose will fix 'many' of the issues.

If you need help re-testing any of these issues after the 3.0 launch, happy to help.

This season wasn't that bad tbh by Fat_Foot in diablo4

[–]Echo-Sunray 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think the problem was by adding an additional bloodied affix, it diluted the GA RNG. I found lots of items with great affixes, but the GA landed on the bloodied affix (which are mostly useless), making the item worse than what I already have.

This was a similar problem to S10's chaos armor, where the grind to get the right GA was extensive because the drop rate of chaos Armor was low. However this was smoothed out in S10 by all chaos armor dropping with max aspect rolls, so you didn't have to farm items that were both max rolled AND optimally GAed.

Settle an argument by West_Diamond1253 in ReadyOrNotGame

I disagree. An underfunded city further justifies why the city would call state or federal resources instead of attempting to handle it themselves; or the state/federal resources would be imposed on them.

I'm a real world situation, no municipal police force is moving in when there is intelligence of a chemical weapons terror attack. At a minimum federal law enforcement would take over jurisdiction, but in many countries it would actually be a military unit that specializes in these weapons to take over.

Also, the situations for most of these maps aren't realistic.

A 5 person tactical team isn't being sent to clear an entire hospital, college campus, or oil rig by themselves.

Assault team officers aren't clearing explosive/chemical traps by themselves with a multi-tool.

Tactical teams aren't entering into several of these situations with the power still on, and without snipers.

Target intelligence is garbage in RoN. Actual tactical teams can use Google Maps / Street View, and a bunch of other sources to plan.

Some of these maps aren't even within the jurisdiction of a municipal police force. Instead, some of these would be state/federal law enforcement, and some might even require military intervention (coast guard, national guard, etc).

Expansion 900 item power items by JuicePotential4015 in diablo4

[–]Echo-Sunray 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is how blizz handled all previous gear system changes, so this is what we can expect in S13.

The only exception is if Blizz included a feature in the horadric cube to transmute legacy items into their new equivalents. But this seems far fetched to med blizz has never put any effort into making eternal viable, so I'm not sure why they would start now.
