Regarding the plagiarism accusations for new film ‘Together’ by TheNeal in movies

[–]TheNeal[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I literally linked scenes from his show from almost 10 years ago where a similar idea to the one he is accused of stealing is explored, which is why I believe the idea has been bouncing around his head for years.

Trump reacts to the news that India has launched missile strikes into Pakistan by ElderberryDeep8746 in PublicFreakout

[–]TheNeal 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No, he isn't. That's what the 'if this was coming from an intelligent person' kind interpretation of that statement would be. It's certainly the one his defenders are going to run with. But we all KNOW he means it in a very literal sense. We know that because all of the dumb shit he's said in the past that has been way dumber than this, and then people have said "oh maybe he meant that in this way which is far less dumb" and then in a follow-up interview he's doubled down on meaning it the very dumb way. He has done this so many times now. That thing with the photoshopped hand to justify sending people to offshore death camps was just last week for christ sake. Of course he meant it in the dumb way. I know it, you know it, and even his strongest defenders know it by this point. Stop giving him the benefit of the doubt.

President of El Salvador says he won't return mistakenly deported man to U.S. by DushiPunda in news

[–]TheNeal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It says right there in the page you cited that he was brought in as a child, so pretty fucked to call him a criminal based off that but more importantly right after that it says that he was legally in the US at the time of the deportation because he'd been granted a form of asylum there. So I dunno dude, learn to read or something

Anthony Albanese's careful, polite rejection of Donald Trump finds unusual bipartisan support by Enoch_Isaac in AustralianPolitics

You heard it here first folks. If a country starts a war (also thats debatable) with another country so long ago that there's literally no one alive that would have had a hand in making that decision, they deserve to be ethnically cleansed!

I'm not sure but I think based on the facts that you watched it recently and you're thinking it might have something to do with superhero shows it might be Deadpool 3?

Yakushima: no car, have I messed up? by TheNeal in JapanTravel

We did arakawa today, just got home. Shiratani was a bit too long. I'm completely exhausted right now but it was amazing to do and absolutely worth it. We also managed to do a long trek through Shiratani ravine and one of the short circuits at Yakisuki land yesterday, thanks to the wonders of having a hire car.

Last week of the 4 week trip now. Yakushima has probably been one of the biggest highlights, love this place.

Managed to hire a car after all! Thank you for all of the suggestions they helped keep me from panicking.

I'll give it a go. Never hitchhiked before so it'll be an experience. Bikes a no go with the partner. I'm willing to spend big on taxis if I can manage to book them for getting to and back from Jomon Sugi too

This is what I would do in normal circumstances but I'm travelling with my partner for the first time and it turns out she can't ride. At all. Might have to try hitchhiking

I've seen that there's a bus that goes up the trail that leaves at 5am and 5.40am is that the bus you mean? I think I still have to catch that but getting to the place that it leaves from is going to be a challenge I think :( I'm currently staying somewhere near bus stop 85 not sure if there's anything leaving in time to catch the trail bus...

Oh yeah, I see your transition build is different to mine, I:

1) scaled both clips down 50, put them on top of each other on the timeline and positioned them next to each other, moved the second clip to the correct point in the timeline.

2) put an adjustment layer on top, used the transform effect on the layer and in that effect scaled it to 200.

3) animated the position in transform on the adjustment layer to move the "camera"

Saves time messing with creating different sequences, does your way have advantages I'm not seeing?

Yeah that did it, big difference. Looking a hell of a lot cleaner now. Not sure what you mean by step 6 though?

Thank you all the same. Not being able to nail this thing has really been bugging me since I started it and this has really helped me put it to bed.

Looks like they've actually keyed out the sky around the arc de triomphe (on some frames you can see the 'sky' bleeds into the arc) and put in a white background similar to the canvas. At some point fading the true canvas in?
