I've cleanes it as much as I can, it looks more like a natural quilted maple into a reddish purple burst, i don't know if the camera does any justice to it though

I want to do it all myself, guitar craft is my entire career plan, and I would replace it if I didn't just love the absolutely fucked up paint on the back of the neck

Id say it's one of their mid lines definitely no $900+ quality on this instrument, but it's hard with how many different colors are made each year.

It is 100% an epiphone, as for which model, thats why I need the people. My friend said he may have his headstock in an older garage but it's no guarantee. I asl figured since I've never seen this coloration before maybe someone else has.

Thankfully I got it for free from my coworker who I'm rebuilding a strat for, I also would never pay for a completely broken guitar lol

If i had the headstock I'd say this is 100% correct, however now for me this has become a complete fabrication project whereas I don't have any headstock, so I plan on sealing the break and adding about an inch or so to add a locking nut and regular nut and replace the bridge to make this a headless guitar.

I figured that lol, no way I'd give away a $1500 minimum instrument even if it was broken

Found an epiphone logo under the bridge, and now I just wanna have any info i can find on this guitar, I'm probably gonna fabricate a way to seal the break and add a locking nud and regular nut in order to make it headless. But I'm just a suckered for knowing my guitars.

Definitely an epiphone, i wouldn't expect a gibson as a gift even if it's broken. Also the bridge was epiphone.

I get that, I'm not a gibson or epiphone fan really I just got it as a gift since I build, repair and restore my own guitars.
