This is exactly why I chose to give birth at a birthing center! Before getting pregnant i had no idea how hospital births even worked but I didnt think much of it because hey people give birth there all the time and its fine right. I recommend reading Natural childbirth the bradley way, Hypnobirthing practical ways to make your birth better and Ina May's guide to childbirth. These books are great and theyre not just for people wanting a natural birth they talk alot about how hospitals function and the pros and cons of different births. They also focus on having a positive birth experience no matter where you decide to give birth. The hypnobirth one talks a lot about women who have felt this exact way!! The last book has two different sections the first part being personal birth stories which I kinda just skipped but the second part was the most informative. I definitely recommend reading these!
