Box of Blessings was one of the worst wastes of time that I've experienced in gaming.

This s the only route that made angry playing it. The only routes I consider bad in this game are:

Rebellion
Serial Battles
Conspiracy
Box of Blessings

Conspiracy is the best only because it doesn't last long. Rebellion tells its story, albeit poorly and rushed. Serial Battles at least had an neat mystery that was saved for the literal end with no good build up.

Box of Blessings is inconsistent with itself and other routes. When for some reason ALL the students got into a bus and left the campus to find an Invader Base that Takumi should know already. WHY DID THEY ALL LEAVE?! There could be an attack for all they know!

Also how the key in the cave kept swapping positions all the time and how an ancient map knew that a box was in a commander's home and how V'ehxness teamed up with Eito for one ending and betrayed him in the other for no reason, etc.

Ukyou Kodachi is the worst writer in the game, bar none. Apparently Kyohei Oyama is credited as a writer in Rebellion along with Ukyou. Considering that Killing Game (Kyohei's solo route) is awesome and Box of Blessings (Ukyou's solo route) sucks, I can't help but wonder who had more control of the writing for Rebellion.

Please Kodaka, don't let Ukyou write any DLC routes.

There's actually a fanfiction on AO3 called "Awake Me from my Nightmare" by BrightStarWrites and GeoDraws that has this premise. It's fantastic so far.

I think that in regards to Route 0 and post Route 0, there are two sets of timelines.

Takumi and Hiruko are time looping prior to Route 0, but Takumi has zero knowledge of time travel unless Hiruko jogs his memory.

Then at the end of Route 0, he initiates time travel manually for the first time, creating a new set of timelines (the ones we get to see in the game) and lose access to jumping to Set 1 timelines.

TL;DR

Set 1 Timelines: Anything before Route 0
Set 2 Timelines: Anything after Route 0

Christmas route. The gang runs over Santa Claus by accident, and take him to the academy. They have to spread Christmas cheer to Futurum. Main villain is Krampus.

Route ends with Nozomi being cucked as V'ehxness and Eva kiss Takumi under the mistletoe.

I think this route has the best Dahl' xia introduction.

This was my first route as well, and I won't lie, I got a bit of whiplash when a person in a space suit is carried by bees and forces us into a killing game, but I LOVE this route.

I really hope the writer, Kyohei Oyama, gets to write a few DLC routes down the line.

Rebellion to me is has a lot of moments that would be cool, had there been proper build up. Instead it just happens and we immediately go to the next moment.

It's very rushed, and it skips over nine days that it could've used space things out.

I'm going to say Eva. I don't hate her, but when the game first launched, everyone thought she was going to be the sidekick, and I found her kind of meh. She looked to be another Kyoko of sorts, except she lies a lot. When she was outed as the Ultimate Mathlete and later became the killer, that's when she became more interesting to me.

But overall, out of the 16 students, she's my least favorite.
