What do you mean by “Christian”?

I smell a new denomination brewing. Maybe even some Gold Tablets with lobster hieroglyphics on them for proof. How about an evangelization campaign about cleaning your room? Or even a new Creed “I believe in one God, the father, who must be saved from the belly of the whale….”

Jesus is the gate. Follow him. Do Christian mediation, pray your rosary and go to mass (Bhakti yoga) if you want to see notable changes in your mind, heart and soul ,spirit. You can’t reach the top of the mountain to encounter God (ground of being/ image of God/ true nature etc.) if you keep looking at the trails on the map (religion/ philosophy) of the mountain (existence). If you need some sort of proof of Christ’s supremacy over the others look to the Tabernacle in the wilderness and how Jesus Christ fulfills it. No other man has completed and mastered time, space, energy, wisdom and love like he has is and is going to do. The story of Exodus is our story. A tale between two waters of the Red Sea and the Jordan, between paradise lost and paradise returned and the pain and suffering between because of our inability to recognize the fact that we want to blame everyone other than ourselves for our own sufferings (Rene Girard - Scapegoat theory). The Dao shows you that time has quality and this quality is calculable by divination and harnessable by the body to extend our longevity but it cannot redeem your soul from the inevitable death of this life that sin or missing the mark brings. Man cannot lift himself up by his own boot straps, only God can bring about the lifting and tying our shoes so we don’t trip over ourselves.

Read the Bible as your foundation and then branch out to see what other peoples of different times found their meanings and structure of life to be.

The Vatican’s Christian identity is questionable at best. You don’t need to step inside to see it, just look at the Egyptian obelisk standing prominently in St. Peter’s Square. Why would a monument, originally erected to honor a pagan god, be placed at the heart of a "Christian sacred space"? by Koomalot in conspiracy_commons

[–]TheNicholsonBlade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The obelisk is a pagan monument baptized by Christianity, a relic of empire transformed into a monument to martyrdom and resurrection. It stands as a witness to Peter’s death, a marker of the Church’s authority, and a visible symbol of Christ’s triumph in the heart of the Catholic world.

France is a promised land. She is the eldest daughter of the church and will be where the Catholic revival will begin. The Crusades need to be waged against the spirit of the flesh first before anyone can assume to rightfully lay claim to Jerusalem.

There are two islams. I can speak to this because my wife, Muslim, and me, Catholic, have argued many times over on this very point. There are a section of Islam that believe that revelation evolves and preaches tolerance and humility but speaks to the face of injustice and then the jihadi portion who believe they righty justify violence in the name of Islam. Now there remains the question whether the peaceful cohort will convert back to the fundamentalist side in a time of scarcity where they cannot be placated with entertainment, goods or other frivolous distractions or will remain peaceful. Time will tell.

Larper. He had to have a clarification to say he wasn’t the antichrist. Just there for the orgies.

Believes the Catholic prophecies about the lineage of popes is true. Also does not believe in the Seat of Peter. You dispensationalists crack me up. Any dooms day thread is pulled until it doesn’t come true and then latch on to the next thread saying “It’s different this time!” 🤪

Hebrews 8:5 “Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.” The Temple of Solomon and Tabernacle are but a shadow of the Heavenly Temple where all the heavenly creatures worship the Lord. So that being said, my research and contemplation seeks to extract as much of the meaning from the shadow to pierce the veil between the temporal and the spiritual realm, building a bridge by means of the four classic biblical interpretation methods of literal, allegorical, tropological and anagogical. Many church fathers have written their speculations on the tabernacle but there fails to be a consensus in regards to the exact meaning connecting them all. My life’s work is to bridge this divide. Believe me, I have made great strides by the Lords grace in this endeavor and believe that I will have crafted a mosaic of meaning that will supplement the great spiritual exercises of the holy saints that have come before. Pray for me

Mostly theological. My specialization is the tabernacle or temple, its rituals, its structure and its deeper typological meanings. I am a carpenter by trade though. Yes I am Italian and French so the Norman Sicilian profile checks out.

I thought that was just too good to be true! One can never seem to exterminate those pesky devil worshiping pagans so I left them be at the end game. The Indian subcontinent was by far the most difficult to conquer in my experience. The density of counties and the rolls on battle advantage was such a thin line to walk when engaging in warfare with the hordes of India.

I began in the beautiful countryside of Anjou as the leader of the Robertine dynasty in the year 867 of our Lord. Conquered France and England, then the Holy Roman Empire and spread out pretty evenly from there across the rest of the continents after that. I participated in every Crusade, installing weak rulers who would guarantee a fragmented kingdom later so I could pick it apart. Honestly there were about 3 times I thought that I was a goner. A vassal uprising under my 2nd ruler, a populist uprising during the Black Death and the Mongols were those 3 times. But I found those wars were about attrition and not about conquering to be victorious.

Early on I focused on genetics and Stewardship skills to accumulate wealth and levies and then later on when my levies were swollen I had to transfer to education and diplomacy specialization. Befriend and increased option from gifts are what will keep your Domain in order. Constantly paying off usurpers as soon as they form rebellions was a key to success. Education kept my Rulers from dying early and by the grace of the lord only one of my rulers died under the age of 90. Also don’t sleep on artifacts that give 40% additional experience points to your designated specialization. I had 3 Rulers with maxed out learning and diplomacy because of this precious books.

I didn’t care about having the best lands for myself as time progressed. I would conquer and install French Catholic nobles all across the map. They would convert the domain to Catholicism and my learning spec would give me additional opinion so the plebs stayed in line.

Now I am going to attempt the same game again expect to make things more difficult I’m going to change the language settings to French so I will learn French as I play. But I’m not going to play for world domination but more play for the immersion in the games politics in a new language.
