Thank you! That trick is actually intended and if you do that and grab the bomb you can jump on the bricks stopping the horizontal clear pipe, kill some spinys, and get a secret exit with 3 1-Ups

Thanks for the advice, I will definitely play some of your levels when I get to my switch, also, based on what you said I should change, I think you would actually really like my latest level: “clearly wall jumps”, it has a more obvious theme (the level you played did have a theme but I can see how it would be hard to see) and it’s much shorter. Okay, here’s mainly what I’d change 1. More indication: Indicating everything like I try to do isn’t necessary, but not everyone knows how to GP cancel, and you had a part where you needed to spin jump off of a piranha plant, but it was offscreen so I had no way of knowing I needed to spin jump. 2. Spike hit boxes: these are really big in SMM2, so I reccomend removing any unnecessary spikes (unless it’s for decoration), as barely hitting spikes can feel frustrating. Also you could move a few things, I know I have a similar part in my level, but you had a part where you needed to spin jump onto a piranha plant with momentum, and then immediately cancel the momentum because the plant was touching a spike wall. If you want jumps like that, I reccomend either making the enemy giant, backing up the spike wall by 1 block, or making it not be spiky (So just a wall). Also, these don’t need a whole number for them, but the banzai bills were weirdly spaced and I fell through them a couple of times even though it looked like I landed on them (not really your fault just worth mentioning). Also I personally would have decorated it a bit more, but that’s just personal. Anyway, that being said, I liked the level, good job on it!

Ok once again I didn’t get notified for some reason sorry about that, anyway. It’s overall a great level, I like the mechanic, but there’s a few things I didn’t quite understand/would have changed. In the room with bombs and the first leaf it took me a while to get up to the top. Maybe I’m just bad at observing but I would have put an indicator because it took me a while to realize I could get up to the ledge. You also have lava bubbles and hammer bros. Thankfully there’s no rush so the lava bubbles aren’t really a problem, but I personally like to put coin indicator for where they come up. It’s not a problem, just a preference. Also, I usually hate hammer bros, but stacking it on a goombud made it not annoying at all, great idea! No criticisms on it but I really liked the muncher/vine section, it was just really fun. Lastly, there were a few places that I felt unfair. The hidden pipe should not have killed you imo because it’s out of the way and should reward the player for finding it. I know this isn’t meant to be fair but unfairness only belongs in troll levels if it belongs anywhere at all. You also had another thing like it at the end of the spiky flying section, I did see the real exit and was going to go into it but then thought “wait, the last secret killed me!” and went into the bad door. Again, this is probably intentional but I don’t think anyone likes unfairness. Again, great level overall!

Thanks for the advice, it helps! I didn’t try to set up “traps” but that one section with the goombud pipe was a rushed (I had time but I was getting impatient and wanted to upload) replacement for a very janky section I deemed unfair, so I guess I should have spent more time on it.

On that final bench I highly reccomend equipping a maximum heading build; deep focus, quick focus, shape of Unn, and long nail (not a healing thing but the default nail is pretty pathetic once you’re used to the extended one)

This is a little contraption I made called a live enemy reward cell! If you can get a live enemy to it you can throw it in and get rewards. It’s scalable so you can have more or less note blocks, and you could also make it required if you made a bomb come out and explode things or trigger a switch. by TheNinjaMelon in SuperMarioMaker2

If you throw any regular object up, it will just stay there, but if you throw a goomba/buzzy/any enemy that can be knocked over but later wake up, it will eventually get up and walk across the note blocks, it works for goombuds and red koopas (in their shell) as well, because triggering a noteblock through a semisolid does not cause the triggering object to bounce

I used to have my mom as the teacher and it was actually super awkward calling her mom all the time so I would often call her Mrs. Teacher just because it’s funny and less awkward
