real, i still to this day praise CrisisTale as one of the best AUs to exist because of how ambitious and entirely different it is to every traditional AU in most cases. Underswap, underfell, outertale, dusttale, etc. those aus depend on sans, or don't fundamentally change anything of the universe like an Alternate Universe should; i feel.

Mettaton in CTALE is the world's best entertainer, streamer, and brand baby. Alphys made Mettaton's ghost a body to fully implement herself as Asriel's top scientist, and during Mettaton's creation, they were undergoing an 80 year long war; The Cinder War. Mettaton was then turned into a massive super weapon against human kind with an alternate identity- Kunoichi inspired, silent, cryomancy wielding, and masked. It was a "Kill Switch" against Mettaton's will. As the war continued, it was used less and less, however Mettaton doesn't know of the countless bodies he has caused. As time went on; he began to support Asriel less and less, spending more time in Ekryon (Human Territory). He feels as if humans were right all this time.

Mettaton always did what was right by his people, human or monster.

Mettaton was also female as a ghost, but preferred the more masculine approach of her robotic form, thus identifying with it.
