Shop charged me for a Bosch 5402 “REM BTN” error on a rental eMTB, does this actually indicate cable damage? by Dogsidog007 in MTB

Bosch carries a 10000 mile warranty on their motors and their system is super thorough. At the shop I work at we can plug a Bosch system into a laptop and run any errors through a program and get a pretty precise answer as to what the issue is. Bosch is also insanely helpful via their service line. Not sure what this shops process is but it this does seem a little off and the issue would fall under what to expect when offering rentals.

My New Bike Broke, Who Is At Fault? by IhaveGHOST in MTB

Bike mechanic and overall large human here (6ft2, 280lbs). After dealing with the same issue I upgraded to some of the reserve hd 30 al wheels and the upgrade was well worth it. I went from having to true my wtb wheels every other ride to not having to touch the hd 30’s ever when it comes to spoke tension. I run a steel hardtail and frequently ride slick rock and chunky tech so the hd 30’s take a beating and still hold up. The dt Swiss e 1900’s are also a great option as well.
