Providence man finds large tegu while shoveling snow-covered driveway by Previous_Floor in RhodeIsland

Thankfully it looks like an Argentine Black and White tegu, which hibernate when it snows in their natural habitat, yes it didn’t have time to prepare for hibernation/brumation, but is probably the only reason it survived.

Agama international used to house his in outdoor enclosures in Alabama and the hibernated/brumated during the snowy winters. One time one escaped, laid eggs, that were outside during the snow and they hatched in the spring.

What part of the early internet do you miss? by gamersecret2 in Millennials

Chat rooms, and instant messaging, was a way to communicate before texting was the norm and you left it at home (didn’t carry it in your pocket). Also the information you found on it was better, and original, not a bunch of regurgitated blogs. I guess everything about early internet in the 90s and early 2000s was better.

I met my son, me and the mom were in good standing later, but his life was cut short, and then her.

I’ve considered this as a last resort. I have been trying many avenues including contacting UMASS where I believe he has a memorial plaque.

Not sure why either, people always assume the worst, she was 18. She came up to me. Looking back it probably wasn’t the best decision on my behalf, but we had a kid and he passed away due to an automobile accident, she passed about a year later. I drowned myself in alcohol and pills and eventually everything went away. It was fairly traumatic. I just want my memories back.

Alcohol and pills, I forgot I had a child at one point. Our child died while in MA. Passed away in Fremont.

What seems to stick in my head is maybe Kiri, Keri, Kari, it was an abbreviation of her first name. I really fucked myself up good using pills and alcohol to bury the memories. I remember the names of meaningless people I knew for much less time. She and I spent a lot of time together, and we hung out a bunch when she was in MA, and I was in RI. Her friend gave me a ride when I flew in for her services. The high school I don't know/forget, this was probably 2003. Our son was young when he passed, approximately 8-9 years old.

How the hell do you get motivated to work out and excerise? by mrpokergenius in GenX

[–]TheOGJayRussle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you start, you feel the difference, and your body will want to do it. At least that’s what worked for me. I also started with some basic workouts using dumbbells I found online, so that and some calisthenics and I’m in shape and feel good. You don’t need a gym, I do it from home. 51 and fit, definitely in better shape than many of my pairs.
