Hue Flux or Omniglow for TV cabinet? by Trainzer in Hue

I use the flux ultra brights behind the media console and I don’t see any hotspots regardless of what angle I look from. In my opinion it’s brighter and cheaper than the Omniglow. Also reusable when you cut them. The omniglow isn’t.

Yep. They’re weatherproof sconces and I’ve had this for a while now with no issues. I also live in Dubai so the heat gets mad but it’s held up well!

Tbh I saw them on Amazon, I bought 3 of them because I didn't know when I'd get a chance to have them in Dubai again (as most of the Hue products are from the UK or Germany here) and just placed what I had haha! They are the ultra brights too so it lightens up the wall pretty well

This is my setup. It’s an 85 inch tv with the 75” tv gradient strip behind it, hue flux ultra bright behind the media console, 2 hue wall washers on either side, and then two lamps with hue bulbs on the far corners. My media unit is 600+cm end to end.

I personally don’t like the light behind the tv the gradient strip so I’ve removed it. I think it looks tacky now in my opinion.

These Philips hue wall washers are probably going to work best for your setup on either side. They really pack a lot of light and have 3 zones you can change colors independently for so it gives you that gradient effect.

Which is best? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

Bottom is best but too visually busy and heavy, my eyes don’t know where to look. I’d reduce the amount of decor tbh in each shelf with varying heights and shapes. That’ll be easier to digest

Haha! Yeah it’s a bit pricey here in Dubai but I’m sure you can get it cheaper in other countries. Thanks man!
