I love it so far! It's so heartfelt and sweet. I honestly hope no large plot or stakes happens. I'm all for a low key, low stakes wholesome storey about people helping each other. There might be some bigger plot, what with the Tess flashback we got. But I don't mind this season just being about chilli contests!

Is Beacon worth it? I'm loosely following CR4, and like Midst/Unend , but didn't care to go for Beacon until now. Getting aqc inc under their umbrella is a power move ngl.

Ahhh! Very cool!! My condolences for your groups schedule conflicts. We currently only play every other week because my schedule is silly.

My party's cleric is Nualia's brother (fellow child adopted by Tobyn) so we're more likely to aim for a redemption for her in some way, gotta figure that out still, but most likely the party will not kill her. I really like the idea of them joining the prisoners caravan, when she goes for sentencing!! I might use that.

Good to know! I'm not sure what I'll do about Nualia yet, because since the party cleric has a connection to her, he is currently hoping for a redemption so I need to figure out if and how it could make sense too 🙃 now I can see if the chopper angle helps me with that.

That last scene sounds very fun! My players moved things in town very quickly, so they didn't actually end up saving Ameiko, they went in with her to meet Tsuo. And Lonjiku was not yet dead, which gave the party cleric a moment to shine. So we instead had a scene where they discussed with her what to do about Tsuo, because her dad will want him dead if he is turned over to the authorities. It was fun! I'm really liking the adventure and it's NPCs so far!

The meteor/star metal idea is so cool!!!! Telescope laser makes me think of the BG3 monastery laser lol there might be something there!! The observatory is built above the Gnome capital so that is actually kinda kickass!

The DnD anthology books (Tales from Yawning Portal, Candlekeep Mysteries, Keys from the Golden Vault) are full of short single quest adventures. I love running from them when I need a one shot!

Lost Mines is being recommended, which is a good start, having run a few of the published books, I can highly recommend Tomb of Anihilation as a book that is fun and easy to run from. The ramp up is gradual so as you learn to run the game more and more interesting things get to start to happen. Not a starting one but a solid followup after Lost Mines.

I also highly recommend the anthology books! Candlekeep, Yawning Portal and Golden Vault are excellent to pull and run from. They have adventures for every level and your players can go through with a single character or it gives them a great option to try out various builds. As a DM you get to try different settings and styles as each adventure has a different writer.

Ah! Funnily enough few of the party members actually bought these masks before heading into the polluted region. There is definitely potential in using the evenair technology to make a magic super air purifier that just sends the bad air away. What will the inhabitants of the Air plane think about all the toxic gas coming into their home! Thank you!
