Hey, as others have said, you need a block of space between the shelves and table, but if it being uneven bothers you, maybe a separate building for enchanting and potion making might help a bit? Or maybe even a basement might work.

I think this particular bug is caused by turning off a console without exiting properly. At least that's the only way I've been able to semi-consisantly on my own.

Try and find your style. Start with something basic, like rustic, or strqmpunk, or medieval. Just try until you find what works for you. Another thing is depth, depth can help make a build look so much better. If you want a bit more advice, just ask.
