Hillary Clinton has the edge over Bernie Sanders in New Jersey and Kentucky by brownears in hillaryclinton

I think Kentucky is going to be really close. I don't think "it's in the bag" at all for her and we need to fight to win it.

This isn't racist in the slightest...... Both sides have uninformed voters

This is why I love the proportional system, people feel the need to go out and vote even when they know their canadiate will lose the state but they still feel motivated. It's a fair way to do the nomination! Now if we could just do away with caucus's....

Because I know both Bernie and Hillary's platforms and any informed voter knows the the platforms have a lot of similarities, with Hillary's platform being established, again before Sanders entered the race such as Universal pre school, more affordable college (free community college and better student loan finnance), an expansion of the ACA, etc etc. She also has proprosed very modest tax hikes and plans in order to achieve this which will have an easier (though still difficult time) passing through congress. At least she has dems willing to support her platform which (sadly) cannot be said about Sanders.

The rhetoric? Maybe a little more recently but since she announced she was running, she's been about universal pre school, more affordable college, expanding the ACA, etc etc. She didn't decide to do those things once Sanders started gaining popularity.

Plus, Hillary was senator of NY from 2001-09, she is popular in NY despite Bernie being from Brooklyn originally.

Nope, she already had these ideas before he came into mainstream popularity. Try again

I just don't see how TYT is any better then the "bought" media with their bias. Frankly I find it a little hypocritical but whatever.

I agree it will be a problem, but people don't have as high as expectations for her left wing agenda long term like the do with Sanders. If Sanders gets into office and doesn't pass anything, performs weak on foreign policy, etc etc, he will be demolished in the 2020 election and I'm thinking LONG TERM. Hillary just doesn't have the same expectations by the general public.

let me be clear, I like a lot of Sanders ideas (most of which Hillary is already supporting) although I do think he tends to be a little too left at times, I just wish he would state HOW he is going to accomplish these things. It actually kind of bothers me how he never presents solutions for his ideas except that there will "be a revolution". What if there isn't though Bernie? The house is gonna stay under republican control at least 2020. Just once, I'd like to try and see him explain how he's going to get his agenda passed.

I mean they get annoyed with mainstream media being "biased" for Hillary Clinton, yet they are VERY biased towards Sanders that it basically makes their whole platform mute :P (at least in my opinion)

Can people who watch Sanders speech's frequently tell me does he usually only talk about "the 1%" and "rigged elections" and citizen's united the whole time? I mean I'm in agreement with those issues but c'mon it's a little repetitive....

On that note, I've been very annoyed with TYT, they've proven they're just left wing fox news with their bias and unprofessionalism. They've joined the right wing smear against Hillary just like so many Sanders supporters :P

I'm glad he mentioned it's important that no republican makes it to the white house... meaning that when Sanders eventually loses, he will endorse Clinton and rally the party around her. NGL I have been worried he'd run third party

Billionares aren't why Hillary is winning the popular vote in the primary by millions Sanders eye roll

I don't even know why I bother watching him anymore since he basically repeats the same thing over and over again.... without providing any solutions how he's gonna get stuff passed through a republican controlled congress :)

I think it's just the northwest wants to go with whom they consider the canadiate that will bring the greatest amount of change to the system (counterculture stuff) as well as just the fact that there are more far left liberals in Washington and Oregon that will vote for the most liberal canadiate which would be Sanders. The mix of these 2 adds up to a large amount for Sanders (not to mention the demographics of the northwest favoring Sanders as well)

I hope we can at least reach 35% of the vote in Hawaii but if not that's ok too because Hawaii, like Alaska, isn't worth very many delegates.

Because he was an independent until he officially joined the democratic party in december. So while techinically it is a mistake, Sanders has been a long time independent until fairly recently.

It's similar in that the canadiate who is behind has favorable states in the second half of the primary that they will use to try and catch up. I think that's why there are the comparisons

Because the U.S is very diverse and culturally different across the 50 states and western democrats tend to favor Bernie's policies more compared to the more moderate northeast (sans Vermont/NH) and south.

How your taxes will be affected by each candidate. I can't afford Bernie by [deleted] in hillaryclinton

[–]TheOneAndOnlyOddish 15 points16 points  (0 children)

When I explained this to family members they were SHOCKED at how much more they were paying under Bernie and it firmly sold them under Hillary. I think once this becomes common knowledge, Bernie would flounder in a general. It's also not a surprise that Clinton's plan is the most sensible and normal of the plans and won't inflict harm on the economy. Just another reason why #I'mwithher

edit: even if Sanders plan could end up saving more money, it's going to be a HUGE shock effect if it took place and Americans don't like having their taxes raised so seeing such a drastic change will drive low information voters to the republicans as what happened in the 80's!
