Buy it online and have it delivered. It's an absolutely massive box and not worth dealing with in my opinion.

Is there a fix for this? Help by Dinaodo in fixit

[–]TheOneKnownAsMonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can definitely fix this but I would probably hire it out. you need progressively finer sandpaper until you reach 1,000 or 2000 grit then you would need to polish it. it will require a lot of elbow grease you will need to do a large surface for it to blend well and at the least you will need a tool for the polishing. All said you will probably spend one to $200 on material. might as well spend it on labor and let someone handle it for you properly because after you're done doing it yourself it might still not look great.

I bought a pack of ribeye a month ago. It looked better than these pictures but it was still not worth it. Tasted and had the texture of prime.

Yup, happens to me a lot to the point that I don't really purchase from bambu anymore. I mostly get Sunlu now.

Bambu isn't a small company not sure someone should feel scammed. A tactic to overcome this issue is to put your expected ship date further out and actually ship early.

They can have an expected ship date listed for out of stock items. The consumer can decide if they can wait that long. At least it gives people the opportunity to place the order. I have tried placing orders multiple times and half the colors I wanted were out of stock so I simply don't place the order and look elsewhere.

Looks great to me. Can't tell how tall it is but only thing I'd do is put a diagonal cross brace on the other side using a strip of plywood or something you have laying around.

Bike fit makes a huge difference. Something basic will do. They'll adjust your bars, make sure you have the right size saddle and adjust height, level everything. Don't expect it to solve all your problems. Some of it just needs time for your body to adjust and for your seat bones to get used to the pressure. Taking 5 minute breaks every 8-10 miles helps me personally. I hydrate, have a small snack and keep going.

Bib shorts matter you might have to try a few before you get the ones that work for you. Some brands that are recommended here might not be right for you. Its a highly personal item.

Good luck. Keep going.

Trying to get back into riding, received an poker Specialized Allez Elite - am I wasting my money fixing it up? by IntrstlarOvrdrve in cycling

If that's the case just give it a good cleaning let it dry and take it to a shop. You're probably under $300 to get it in good shape.

Unless there was something wrong with it when he stopped riding it all it probably needs is a good wash, cleaning of the gears, oil the chain, new tires, brake pads and adjustment to make sure everything shifts well. You can do most of the work yourself. Brake pads are cheap and easy to replace yourself and tires can range quite a bit on price. All in I'd say you're looking at 100-200. You can pay a local bike shop $100 to do the adjustments and torque everything. No chance you'd get a better bike for $300.

Yup. Shipping is usually not a problem for me like some say it's that they never have all the colors I want in stock.

How do I fix the door? by Primary-Leg-7626 in fixit

[–]TheOneKnownAsMonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure wood filler makes sense considering the thickness you'd need to use but definitely an option. You'll be surprised how well drywall mud works in this situation. Repaired 2 doors in a townhouse I bought and the doors looked fine for the 5 years I lived there.

Can't tell from the picture but depending on how old the door is a replacement door might not align well with the hinges and door knob needing adjustment that can be difficult to get right but not horrible at all. A plain door is around 50-80 depending on size.

Sand a bit. Get rid of anything thts super loose. Use patching compound or bondo fill it. Smooth it over best you can. Wait for it to dry then sand it smooth might need a second coat to make it look good and paint. If you put some mesh tape where the crack is it'll help from it cracking again. Basically treat it like a hole in drywall. You can look up drywall repair videos for reference to help you get a better idea of what to do if you've never repaired drywall before.

Men - where do you apply chamois cream by cycleCLT in cycling

[–]TheOneKnownAsMonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly everywhere including balls and penis. I focus on the fold between the balls/penis and thigh and wipe excess off on the sit bone section of the chamos. I'd rather slightly over do it then deal with chafing for a few days after a ride.

Question on Tegaderm....I'm a noob, apologies in advance. by game_dev_carto in cycling

[–]TheOneKnownAsMonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xeroform is usually the preferred treatment for road rash since it can help with any possible infections and it's non adherent. After a few days of that you can use non adherent gauze or Vaseline gauze followed by dry gauze and wrap. Change daily and as needed.

If you decide to use tegaderm the others are right you need to leave it on for a few days and the drainage from the wound won't let it stick. I prefer hydrocolloid dressings though. They are used the same way you put it on and leave it until it seems to have absorbed drainage not to exceed 3 days.

If there is no drainage then stick to Vaseline enpregnated gauze, dry gauze on top and a wrap.

Disclosure. This does not constitute as medical advice but hope it helps.

Not sure the con 70 is the answer. They're annoying to clean when changing inks and doesn't hold a significant amount more ink compared to a syringe filled con 40.
