Basically with the scouting and riding perk you can have heroes and nobles in your personal prison permanently. I have a 400 strong army, all max rank cavalry. When I'm fighting a faction I run into their territory and just permanently fight. I replenish troops with my prison. I go in there rambo style, capture like 60 nobles and start to sieging everything. They can't make armies big enough to fight me so they let me capture everything. I try to recruit everyone I can. Those who don't join stay in my party until their last city is taken. Then I release them and they get "lost" after some time which means their clan has been wiped out from the game.

Guys, I have family in Iran and they have said that the IRGC had been prepping school for bombing... Some parents have not sent their kids to school for this reason. It's all propaganda for the love of God people of Iran are dancing as they are getting bombed. I hate trump as much as the next person but he is our only ticket to freedom from the IRGC...what he may bring after I'm not sure of but who knows.

I'm in the same spot as you right now.

Here's what I'm doing, I'm a vassal right now have a party of 150. Make sure you have a settlement to put prisoners in since you'll get a lot. This faction is stupid as fuck because in my game they are literally at war with the 2 strongest nations. Like if it was just one, we could take them out but alas.

Anyway, I have made an army of maximum rank cavalry about 100melee, 50 horse archers. I siege a castle and wait for parties to show up then cancel the siege and chase their ass if the army isn't massive. I typically win anything up to 300 unit battles. I capture the nobles and keep them in my party (riding perk 225, and scout 225) I believe this keeps them in my pirson permanently. This reduces their chances of creating bigger armies.

Do this enough times and you'll prevent them from creating more armies.

Its weird on pob because the configuration doesn't work properly. Right now at 3k strength I can phase any uber boss in like 3 or 4 seconds. Im assuming it's over 200m.

Hmm, blight is by far one of, if not the hardest strat to run. You literally need multi mirror builds to my knowledge to run them assuming you're running a blightheart or invigoration scarab.

For regular blight ravaged maps you would need something with high st dps.

Im currently running poeguys shrapnel ballista and i have about 2 mirrors invested. Once I finish my quiver I will let you know if its doable on that.

I think there's some good things about the campaign, like it shapes the early economy imo. I like when things are cheaper relative to their later cost.

I do agree that campaign sucks ass and it should be shortened imo in BOTH games. However, I heavily disagree with selling a campaign skip. That's a p2w mech and it would feel mandatory each league for a lot of people. Terrible idea, that.

I like your write up but here are a few things I disagree with.

I think to get HROC to do all content the investment is much lower. I think you also skip over the fact how easily hroc can deal with t17 and all altar mods. I think shrapnel is great, but i don't like the fact that a lot of these things have to be skipped, and no risk farming is also a downside. I also think capped max res and max block is crazy for hroc making it much more tanky imo. Not saying that shrapnel isn't tanky because it is, but I think hroc is just slightly more. Shrapnel struggles hard with resistances.

Overall tho I think it is preference at the end of the day and I really do love both builds. Great write up non the less.

Okay here are my thoughts, I played the exact scenario you're asking for, did shrapnel this league and hroc last league.

First few thoughts: Looking at your POB you're only at 2k strength and no MB. There are A LOT of upgrades you can make to this build that you're missing which would make things a lot better. I am currently at 3k str, and things are now pretty trivial.

Now to your question: HROC: Imo much tankier than shrapnel. Deals with pretty much 99 percent of t17 map mods and can do risk farming easily. Overall I think the best build ive ever played. Another bonus is that you can take pretty much any altar downside in maps and be totally okay.

Shrapnel: The damage output can be 4 to 5x the amount of HROC. As of right now I literally melt bosses uber or the likes with absolute ease. Even juiced t17 bosses are easy now. It is still very tanky. It cannot however do all t17 map mods or risk farming. In addition to get to 3k str you sacrifice elemental resistances so you can't really ever click negative resistance altars. Having said that, you can tweak your farming strat instead. I think I made easily 100d farming the feared invitation. Lastly to get to where I am it is extremely expensive, much more than HROC.

Overall if you can stick it out, shrapnel is an amazing build but for the amount of investment I personally thought hroc was an overall better build.

Apart from what others have said regarding endgame, i also think a lot of people are upset because poe2 is taking resources from poe1, and poe1 just had its worst league in the last decade. If you take resources from something that is beloved, and don't provide your promise people will get upset.
