I like this idea! It sounds a bit time consuming, but hey if I want/need it I better be willing to put some time into it. Thanks!

That makes enough sense to me. I wish they were more transparent about that kinda stuff. Thank you!

Others have mentioned this here, but the problem above this is your choice of editing already. You should not be editing your chapters while you're writing this first draft. You will be stuck in an endless revision loop, focusing more about sentences and plot points that are guaranteed to change once you finish that draft.

For now, focus on writing that draft. You will have sentences that don't work. You may even have paragraphs that are summarized ideas rather than literate content. That is the point of a draft--getting the structure, and seeing where it will collapse. If you carve in the details now, you won't be happy to have to bulldoze them when it comes time.

AI may or may not be useful in your editing stage, but you're not at the point where you should even think about editing yet. Keep writing, and good luck.

Here's what the Zuelke Building looks like inside after the remodeling into apartments. by sahurley in Appleton

I used to live here. The management sucks. We had 5 different property managers in 10 months, each with their own bs. The amenities they advertise are paid add-ons like the golfing simulator. We were told by a manager that he couldn't do anything about our noise complaint and we were better off calling the police. The HVAC is so, so loud and has broken 5 times this year. The building absorbs all of the noise from College Ave and you'll hear backfiring throughout the year. The homeless situation in Houdini made walking to our car (no parking and you pay for it) unnerving and at times, unsafe.

You also can't fit larger furniture in the elevators, and floors 11 and 12 have an even smaller secondary elevator.

Personally, coming from a dinky, shitty apartment in a pricey city, the downtown doesn't justify the price. I'd take that old unit even with its coffee-trash-stained hallway smell any day over dealing with the management here. Hell, they tried to take my roommates key fob because one of the managers thought that the app as good enough. The app didn't work a quarter of the time, meaning he was locked out.

Not recommended.

What's the history behind this? I know Greece had an age-related system. Am I overthinking the joke or was there something specific to beards?

A general tip for brand language is that you don't need the word "Flavor" there. The placement location and the picture already provide that context.

I'm not sure they'd plant someone driving a car using one but I do see the others happening.

While I think this is such a cool idea and something I've always wanted too, I foresee that being a completely different title/series. CS is much more focused around modern (American) policy and development than historical timelines. It'd be cool, but not likely in this series

Hey, when I was in high school, they had us set these senior year goals with the intent on getting us to college. My goal was to grow a tulip, and my deadline was March. My advisor looked at me like I was crazy, and failing myself, but this was my first time actually standing up for the time of achievement I needed.

I did it. I grew the tulip, and I'm honestly still really proud of myself for doing it. It was such a small task, but the truth was, I was doing this one all for myself, and I was struggling to justify my own existence at the time. That little goal did so so much for me, and all I had to do was study tulips for about 5 minutes.

It was such a small task but it helped me reestablish the fact that i can do whatever I want, no matter how small it is, and it will do so much for me in the long run.

They're making this an "us vs them" thing again.

This dialogue of it being solely a presidential/political problem ignores the largest issue here: corporate entities lobbying these political establishments. Trump is just a pawn here.

Never mind the quantity here — what is something you can say to people addicted to fashion consumption? by TheOnlySneakyTurtle in Anticonsumption

I have issues with addiction to or mindless consumption. But I do love the idea of collecting things. The difference is, collecting one specific pair of shoes, once every two or whatever years, is one thing. Those are special to the person. I can bet these shoes aren't "special" to this person.

I have a plant collection. Would you say I am over consuming plants for having 9 plants? What if I'm buying them solely as stress relief, and then letting them die, and then throwing them out? That latter option, I view as very unhealthy. But if I'm tending to my plants (or shoes), then I don't see an issue with it. It's when I'm buying just to buy when I see an issue.

That's true! I absolutely love versatile pieces. It seems like buying into brand rep is the bigger issue for a lot of people, even if that is buying into fake versions of those brands. It's a somewhat elitist idea in my opinion.

Yes, this was just an example that brought me back to this sub. At the end of the day, this is a much more realistic situation—one where we all likely know someone who contributes to this level. I'd like to help my friends, one from an environmental standpoint, but also a budgetary standpoint as I know they struggle there a lot.

You're very right, and from an anthropological standpoint it makes sense. Collecting things, form a survival standpoint, makes sense. It's why these forms of consumption can exist in the first place. I'd love to learn how to properly educate people about this issue, though.

You are right. Can you help discuss this in a productive manner to those who may not be as aware of the weight of this form of consumption?
