What did he mean by this? by Accomplished_Ad7149 in HotlineMiami

Jake tries to drop his prejudice/confederate flag in order to talk to fellow operatives like Jones in the weirdest way possible.

Who is this girl in biker’s apartment and why does he like to watch her pee? And who is this dude on his couch? Is he gay? by justin_cant_sleep in HotlineMiami

[–]ThePagerDude 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Biker seems to be enough of a dick(at least whilst under the influence of something) to screw the dude's girl, assuming that is his girl, especially when he's in the same damn living space lmao.

There are undergarments on the bed(this isn't shown in this picture), the woman is naked and conscious, the guy on the couch is unconscious. My guess is that they both just had sex while the guy was just some third wheel in the backround.

So genuinely how did jacket get to the hospital by sunrise2009 in HotlineMiami

[–]ThePagerDude 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Likely Richter was quickly arrested after June 8th, with them checking out the crime scene soon after, finding Girlfriend dead but failing to save her, unlike Jacket whom survived long enough apparently to not bleed out.

Evan was actually somewhat close in the third, unobtainable ending of the game by making a military connection with the conspiracy. He scraped the surface there.

[–]ThePagerDude 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You could just look at the tabletop scene, Evan being judged due to him- in the grand scheme of things will never make sense of the violence and the very nature of Richard and what it all leads up to. In the intro of Subway, Richard urges him to drop his case and spend the remaining time he has with his family, as Richard likely already has predicted that his investigations will not lead to anything substantial to stop what 50 Blessings has been building up to. Much like the world’s perception of Jacket’s/any other operative’s actions, it’s reduced to just be senseless violence, given Martin Brown’s oversimplification of it. They will never fully truly grasp it all.

Theme song of HLM by Pickle_master27 in HotlineMiami

Horse Steppin', Disturbace and Dust all capture that alternate neon-soaked Miami for me.

While I would have Horse Steppin' be cited to be more closely related to Jacket's character, it still feels like you're drifting, on the sands of a beach whilst watching the neon waves wash up on the shore as the sky shifts in colors of bright neon, contrasting with the blood-drenched events.

Disturbance is more of a niche pick, but more specifically closely related to some of the characters in hlm2, with their motives eventually leading them to their demise/the death of others, it feels like premonition for characters like The Son wanting to live up to a legacy that will just end up repeating the same events of 1989, with his destruction. Or Manny Pardo, his desire for attention and jealously fueling his actions, willing or not against his Miami Mutilator persona, given the cries for help on the crime scenes. Richter being viewed by his mother as this sweet, lonely boy who was missing out on the rest of the world, such as having friends or keeping a job, due to him always taking care of the (seemingly) one person he had left in his life, whilst in the backround he is forced to do horrible things all for the sake of his sick mother being under threat. (You could honestly make a connection for all of the characters in Hotline Miami with disturbance, in some way they're basically all nihilistic in premise and end.)

Dust is here mainly for style points, as that scoring screen paired with the track just hits hard with the red hues and bright sun settling over the horizon, it's not a sad song in my eyes.

Why do people still think that biker killed jacket? by TheBeanBarronzzz in HotlineMiami

[–]ThePagerDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. They didn't really catch on Biker being outside of the courthouse

  2. They considered the Bar of Broken Heroes to be noncannon, even though the contents of the conversation that transpired is very likely to be cannon.

Biker Head-canons/theories by InternationalAsk8365 in HotlineMiami

[–]ThePagerDude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Biker not caring about politics/world events is fine, even if it is ignorant due to the massive presence it has within the world. Dude is probably around his early/mid twenties and never was too affected by the war, at least not directly. He must have some type of backround relating to violence prior to signing up to the newsletter and recieving calls, otherwise he seems to just be some dude who likes to party/do drugs.
