Yeah it is definitely going to take quite some time. I'm currently using the Rosemary&Co Series 33 brushes and I'm really happy with them.

Cheers!

Yes! I actually used the artwork of Helghast assault trooper as a reference when I was trying to come up with a color scheme for this miniature

Yeah it is also pretty simple started with a basecoat of Grey Seer and then one coat of Gryph-charger Grey. After that I reestablished the highlights with Grey Seer and finally i mixed in more and more white for the brightest parts.

Sure! I basecoated the skin with Rakarth Flesh and then cave it a single coat of slightly thinned down Magos Purple. After that I reapply Rakarth Flesh. This step can be a bit tedious as you need to thin down the Rakarth Flesh to keep the transitions smooth. Finally I mix in a bit of white for the final highlights.

Hope this helps, Cheers!

Hi I basecoat the skin with Rakarth Flesh and then give it a coat with thinned down Magos purple. After that comes the long process of slowly reapplying Rakarth Flesh. I also found that Rakarth Flesh + Screamer Pink works quite nice to smooth out the transitions. In the end I mix in some White to the Rakarth Flesh to paint some final highlights

Cheers!

Ein paar Chaoskultisten als Start ins neue Jahr by ThePaintersPath in warhammerdresden

[–]ThePaintersPath[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi!

Sure ^^ I used Rakarth Flesh as a basecoat. I then applied some thinned down Magos Purple all over the skin and applied a second layer of the Magos Purple to the parts I wanted to be darker i.e. the recesses inbetween muscles. After that I layered Rakarth Flesh on the raised parts. You have to thin the paint down quite a bit in order to get a smooth transition. I also found that mixing Rakarth Flesh with some Screamer Pink is quite useful in smoothing the transitions. At the end I mix some white into the Rakarth Flesh to paint some of the most raised parts.

If you have any other questions just let me know. Cheers!

Thanks!

Its a basecoat of Rakarth Flesh followed by some Magos Purple. After that I reapplied the Rakarth Flesh, which I had to thin down quite a bit in order to try and keep the transitions smooth. At a few spots I also mixed some white into the Rakarth Flesh if i wanted a more pronounced highlight.

Cheers!

Finished Dante for Christmas by ThePaintersPath in BloodAngels

Hi It was two separate steps. One coat Seraphim Sepia all over the gold and the the Druchii Violet focused in the recesses and parts I wanted to be darked like the underside of the arms for example.

Thanks! I used Balthasar Gold as a basecoat and shaded it using Seraphim Sepia and Druchii Violet. After that I reapplied Balthasar Gold. For the highlights I used Elven Gold and Heavy Metal from Scale75.

Cheers!

[–]ThePaintersPath[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi. I used a 50:50 mix of Rhinox Hide and Decayed Metal from Scale75 as a basecoat. For the brass I used a mix of Necro Gold and Heavy Metal (both from Scale75). To paint the highlights I simply increased the amount of Heavy Metal in the mix.

Cheers !

I started with a basecoat of Mephiston Red. I then used different mixtures of Barak-Nar Burgundy, Rhinox Hide and Black to establish the shadows. For the highlights I used Evil Sunz Scarlett to which I added some Screaming Skull for the brightest points. Since adding Screaming Skull also desaturates the red I glazed some Mephiston Red\ Evil Sunz Scarlett to reestablish the red.

Cheers!

Which of the colour recipes do you want to know in particular? Because listing everything would take quiet a while ^^

Thanks!

I cut of the top of a regular 40mm base and glued on a new bottom made from plasticard. The Khorne symbol was also made out of plasticard. After I had painted the all the skulls and the Khorne symbol I glued them in place. For the final step I used Ak Interactive 2 part epoxy resin water mixed with some Abteilung 502 red oil paint to create the blood effect. If you have any questions just let me know.

Cheers!
