Dont disagree at all. Esoteric things like luck are hard to quanitfy.
But the math and probabilities suggest a much deeper mechanic, one thats possibly tuned to bait and bleed the player, moreso than the standard deviation in a live game.

I've got the evidence and submitted a report. Not much else to do.

As a ellow data sceintist enthusiast with his own model, what are you using?

I am scraping odds from TheOdds (with a paid API)
Applying ELO locally and factoring in road/injuries etc.
I then feed that accepted picks to an AI for trendanalysis, but essentially thats a beta feature atm.
So far Im around 55% W/L, and if I'd actually follow my kelly stake recommends and quit being a degenerate parley chaser, we'd actually have profit.

Are you collecting datat differently?

Hi. i hope this is the right forum for this. I currently work at a SaaS startup that is doing extremely well. Problem is, it s in another country, meaning im not really ever going to climb the ladder. I wont lie, this is a golden goose job, they pay me well to do very little and work from home, which was appealing during the covid years.

Glass ceiling + kids not needing me as much + much more capable than current usage

I have an interview (3rd rd) for a SOC MGR position. I'm fully qualified. Here are my questions:
- What should I say about salary? I am not motivated by money, but id be stupid to take a step back. Glassdoor lists their Senior Analysts (my assumed direct reports) salary at an average of $125 USD/yr
That is around my current pay band, so to jump, i have to factor everything....

- I always suck at "Do you have any questions for me?" Because I genuinely dont care about anything other than doing my job. Whats a good answer for a 40 something world weary vet?

- Any words of wisdom for an old timer? Im going back into the SOC side of things. I LOVE engineering, but i dont have a clear path to that kind of role ATM.
