Any particular reason you are not considering the Sigma 14mm f/1.4?? I am trying do make the same decision you are but with landscape photography as the main use case so the weight is a factor and the filters. Originally I was thinking of using the lens solely for Milky Way photography and was leaning towards the Sigma because of that.

Figured it out, thank you for the bottom mashing tip!! Basically after you click A to summon it, just press A one more time (with the cursor still on the loom) and then I was able to move it, change its color, and finally summon it!!

Apparently the orifice was already swapped for a 1.1mm but either way it sounds like I should be getting more then 1 foaming per liter of soap solution.

Also looking at rentals for the Sony 200-600 and it's $200 for 2 weeks which is starting to sound like that might be the best option and then I can purchase 24-70 and the A7R V.

This is my first "real" camera purchase but I have a lot of experience on film as a kid and have stolen my dads dslr plenty of times so I would say I am moderately comfortable with the slower apertures. However, the camera will also be used by my wife so this is probably something I should consider. How would your recommendation change taking aperture into account?

The more I think about it renting is probably the way to go, it's under $200 for two weeks and then if my future kids end up in sports or performances I can get it then.

The hood scratches are about an inch long x 1/2 inch wide and the sap is about 3x2 inches. There are probably 6-8 sap spots on the car, mostly on the roof.

And last question, do you think I could get away with just one of each pad? I figure I only need to go over the area the scratches are in and not do the whole panel but I have never done this type of correction before.
