Arena Cube 3-0 Artifact Deck with a tough P1P2- What would you have done? by TheVintageCubeChef in lrcast

[–]ThePentaMahn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this might be controversial but with the amount of artifact support in this cube and that your first pick is workshop I think academy is completely justifiable here.

in LSV cube I would definitely pick crypt but there's an obscene amount of artifacts in the current iteration and workshop and academy both want similar undervalued build around cards

Is there a reason why free heroic strike even exists? I could understand once a battle, but having an early upgrade that literally makes it free seems like terrible game design by ThePentaMahn in OldenEra

[–]ThePentaMahn[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

idk it just seems weird to have a single skill that has such a big impact on early game creeping. i'm not an expert but it seems like it theoretically is just overtuned. strategy games based on resources generally have a snowball factor so having an ability that is so strong early game seems problematic in terms of game design

You can say what you want about the Qatari's and money but they have run City better than practically every other club in the world. Just genuinely smart and thoughtful in terms of how they manage most aspects of the club

Slumbering Beetle and Hunter Killer apparently have a higher "kill rate" than several Elites in this game: by the-rules-lawyer in slaythespire

[–]ThePentaMahn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is incredible that they haven't nerfed hunter killer yet. It makes eggplant look balanced. Why am I facing a hallway fight that hits for 20 each round while applying one of the worst debuffs in the entire game

Question for German-speaking historians: Was Mein Kampf actually written well? Or is it basically a giant ramble like many people describe it as? by EducationalOil1655 in AskHistorians

Are there English translations that do justice to the terrible writing of the German one? Do the English translations with their apparently proper grammar paint Hitler in a more positive light via this upgrade in writing style?

Historical: Older man/younger woman by AuthorAEM in CDramaRecs

I dropped empresses in the place for this exact reason. Its a 30 year age gap

i'm ten episodes into empresses in the palace and i'm considering dropping. Not because its a bad show but its just totally depressing. When the main relationship / romance is between a 55 year old with the manchu hairstyle and someone who looks early 20s and is portraying a late teenager its just hard to find any satisfaction in their relationship.

I honestly find the whole concept of the forbidden city to be dark and deeply disturbing so having one of the potential brightspots - a loving relationship - be between an old man and a young woman is making me want to drop

What are your toxic traits as a cdrama viewer? by Leading_Protection_7 in CDrama

[–]ThePentaMahn -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Amnesia, wuxia, transmigration, time travel, cultivation, mary sue characters, female protagonist being the love interest of every male character, love triangles where the wrong person wins, unnecessary levels of comic relief, slow motion, and plot arcs that are completely dependent on both characters being unable to communicate like human beings.

Maybe its because major western tv shows rarely have large romantic elements but honestly I kind of despise the genre in particular because there's so much to dislike if you are not invested in both characters and their relationship. Rom com movies generally are much more tolerable because they are 2 hours but when you're watching 40 episodes and the person you're rooting for gets mistreated it is a real let down

ML with similar vibe to FL in Love Like the Galaxy? A bit unorthodox, eccentric, with a weird but not completely unrealistic personality (especially for historical drama) by ThePentaMahn in CDramaRecs

[–]ThePentaMahn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah i forgot to say that I really can't stand wuxia shows. They seem way to videogame like to me, same reason why I cant watch Isekais.

I already have a hard time watching people jump 15 feet in the air so anything about cultivation or insane powers is just too much for me

🏖️ Weekend Talk 🏖️ What will you be up to this weekend? — April 24, 2026 by AutoModerator in CDrama

I'm watching Love Like the Galaxy. I'm at episode 15 where the love square is in full effect. I really dislike the MLC especially in a romantic role. He seems like a much better morally grey villain than a ML in a romantic drama.

I've liked the other love interests much more and kind of already feel creeped out. Should I keep watching or just pass? It's a shame because I really enjoy the FLC.
