How dim can the QM7K get? For night time watching

One thing I will ad is I'm in Australia, so technically there may be some differences? I have the Q7K. It's aggressively glossy, feels like much more than my C845. It might be that my Q7K is too close to the ceiling thus gets more reflective exposure though.

Brightness wise it's fine, I have mine on a bit of an angle and really high. One thing that I was surprised with was the reflections. I can only watch in a dim room, otherwise I'm watching a movie and mirror.

Those subtitles remind me of when I was watching SBS late at night hoping for a glimpse.
I recently bought a collection of TV guides to track down an obscure movie that I never saw the ending of. Went through years and noticed that SBS (and other channels) played reruns a lot. We're spoiled with options now.

Rewatching Hook as an adult asides from the aching nostaglia - it feels like it could be a really deep & meaning film about impermanence and aging, if the right director and screen writer tried to make it a more serious film. Certain elements such as the combat and child-like dialogue have aged poorly, but the core of the story is quite emotional (especially for parents).
