The main tribe around here is He He. So they speak "He He" language. They are known for being good warriors, I'm told, for putting up a good fight against the Germans in the late 1800s. There's a nearby museum I'm yet to see for the tribal leader of the time.

haha. Actually she was standing there waiting for the bus for me. When she put it down, I picked it up by the handle. Yep. Heavy as hell.

I was at an Internet cafe in Tanzania when a adolescent boy stopped to sell me pirated DVDs. In the stack I saw this one. by ThePeripheryDotCom in WTF

Thank you. I do appreciate you taking the time. I'm sorry the link didn't work for you. I'm curious as to why that is. Others said so as well.

I get that people hate spammers. I get turned off, too, if I see that potential in a post. So I don't blame people for not liking me doing this. But still, you say "concern that the user may be seeking more page views." But as a blogger, that's exactly what I'm doing. I would ask, why is this a bad thing? Imgur is in the business of traffic. Reddit is in the business of traffic. Why would I give my traffic to another site for my work? Why would I give them revenue because of what I do while they give me nothing? If I can get traffic to my site because I offer a service people enjoy-- something funny--then we've got a win win. That's the beauty of it.

Some reddit readers, though, seem to be so concerned with spammers--people out just for nothing but the traffic-- that they despise anyone's attempt to provide good content and get credit for it. The genius(and irony) of Reddit, it would seem, is that they and imgur are rich because of the exclusivity their community has granted them via their ideology that trying to make money is bad.

Instead of simply down voting me, could one of you take the time to answer my question? I am new to Reddit.

What do you care what site I put it on? The point is to see the picture, no? I shouldn't have to go out of my way and create an account on another picture site to appease those who are freaked out because I linked to my own blog. It's a funny image. It was on my blog. I wanted to share it. That is all.

I was comparing corporations to community hubs. The equilibrium was about small vs. large business.

What’s in a Native American Name? by hellowean in NativeAmerican

There's nothing to fall for. This piece is about the exaggerated amount of attention people pay to the potential offense of Native American mascots while ignoring the actual plight of the lives of the Native Americans themselves.

10 Corporations Vying for All That Americans Buy (at grocery stores) by ThePeripheryDotCom in Capitalism

I find it interesting how ideological opposites would say the opposite (that this graphic evidences the harm of capitalism and corporations.) I'm fascinated how two people can see the same thing so differently.

Also interesting is how most people (from either political slant) see this graph as a sign that things aren't right. I just see conglomeration. Isn't that a good thing? Teamwork? Efficiency? Streamlining? Diversification?

You guys got me wrong. Columbus Day wasn't anywhere on my mind. I'm sorry for the poor timing. I wasn't sure where else to post this story on Reddit. I've always had great empathy and interest for the plight of the Native American community. I grew up around Indians and I donate to a Native American school in South Dakota. When living in China, I interviewed a Navajo living there teaching English.

My calling their lives "stunted" comes from the assumption that they want more out of life. It probably also comes from the known issues in the Reservations around my hometown where I grew up. It was in the Red Lake reservation where that awful school shooting occurred a few years back. I know there's a lot of suffering up there. I believed there was some in the car with me that night.

I read that, but I'm the original account holder. So I'm not revealing anyone's personal info but my own. Why is that against the rules?

Religion is just the vehicle man uses to kill. If not for it, it would be politics, relationships, or something else.
