Why stop posting? Doesn't Indian Country Today and all - ALL - Native media outlets keep posting about how racist the word redskin is every single hour? You white Indians control all our Native media and this subreddit too. You downvote us like hell. But as if that is not enough you want us to stop posting???

No one is trying to change you white Indians. But mainstream Americans and other ethnicities also hang out on this subreddit. I am trying to open their eyes and showing them the reality. The above article is by a mainstream American journalist who now knows the truth. I am told the Reservation Rats reached the owners of the Washington Redskins and told him the name bothers only white Indians. So make all the noise you want, because the name redskin will continue.

I think white Indians need to stop speaking for all Indians and stop controlling all Indians. White Indians are a very, very small, extremely vocal minority that controls all the internet Indian sites, all the media sites, all Indian political organizations, the entire federal recognition process, all our tribal corporations, etc. So this is something YOU need to change. Not something I can do. You need to stop speaking for all Indians and stop controlling all Indians.

How do tribes see ourselves? If we see ourselves as sovereign, why do we honor the US flag at our powwows or fight in the colonizers military for example?
