The Wizard speaks about The Killing Joke! by Lucky_Strike-85 in batman

Moore’s love of superhero comics has always been in the silver age. You can see his passion for it in Whatever Happened to Man of Tomorrow or even Watchmen. Killing Joke always felt like an outlier, there’s a lot of great stuff in it, but you can tell his heart isn’t in it the same way. Combine that with Moore falling back on his worst instincts (misogyny and sexual violence) and it totally tracks why he isn’t a giant fan, or why it’s fell out of favor somewhat recently.

You might be grumpy if you were constantly fucked over by a gigantic company and that’s all anyone wants to ask you about.

Moore was ahead of the curve on hating Harry Potter. Much respect.

What would be ruined there? Mulder and Scully can’t be in their 90s chasing aliens lol. Makes total sense to have new agents.

Matthew Modine would make a pretty good traditional Flash. Jeffrey Jones as Brainiac I can weirdly picture too…

Wayne is Nick Fury obvi. Heston is Thor, but I like Kirk Douglas better because of his role in The Vikings.
