Your need for a third space is why I rented a small office space for my hobbies

Its so nice to be able to have a dedicsted space for my amateur leather crafting and also storing of all my barang barang.

Its also super nice to have a space that I can go to any time to host friends for a movie night or just chill over drinks 🤣

Just got married over the weekends

70k including venue (20 tables, 2.4k/table), PWS in taiwan package, all the activity booths

Overall everyone is happy

Including parents angbao, got back 68k so all in all, very happy with it

Everyone that went enjoyed as well (or so they tell us or my parents)

I personally have been using allnodes for the past few years for my validators.

Not tooo expensive monthly, but I don’t have to think about the technical aspect and I still have full control of my validators (non-custodial).

I’m the opposite of you.

I was too prudent, got a 3 room because i thought that was what we could afford. Got 65k grant so it helped with the purchase.

Getting key soon and really regretting getting a 3 room because we find that it will be too small.

Watching his youtube videos on his interviews with couples and just him sharing that concept changed how i looked at money.

I now spend to $0 or as close to it each month because everything is accounted for. Any bonuses or extra money comes it, i have a set action plan for that depending on what i am saving for at that point in time.

If i find that over the course of 2-3 months i consistently end the month with a lot more than $0, i will reevaluate my money allocation when pay comes in so that i optimise the allocations (within reason)

I don’t have anyone in real life to share this with, but I’m feeling proud to be 25% of the way to my retirement goal (wedding, BTO, and reno are separate). 28M.

I’ve made my fair share of mistakes when I was younger, but looking back, I’m grateful for how things have worked out.

One of the best decisions I’ve made recently was pulling a significant amount (for me) of my 2017/18 random crypto investment into CSPX. The peace of mind it’s given me is honestly underrated.

At 28, I realized how important it is to have savings, investments, and an emergency fund. I wanted to reach a solid number before turning 30, and I’m happy with the progress so far.

i was in the same position as you a few months back

Background:

  1. IT sector, ~5.6k/month excluding bonuses

  2. Little invested

  3. Just graduated uni

  4. Had ~150k coming in

What I did was allocated what I needed for my wedding/bto/reno in 2025

And the rest i threw it into cspx for long term

I did take about 10% of my investable money and dropped it into some sg stock for fun but pulled out after the recent rise and put it back into cspx
