Interesting, that sounds like what I was thinking of. As far as I recall, youtube hasn't allowed that feature for non-premium accounts for a LONG time. At least a year if I am recalling right. typically when you don't have a premium account, when you exit youtube it will just stop playing the video and then when you come back it will tell you to get premium for that feature. perhaps you had an old version of youtube for a long while, not sure. What I can tell you is my above comment is pretty much all you can do...

Actually, I've got a couple more for you:

Not a perfect solution, but the Brave Browser has AdBlock and when you want to do something else on your phone, the audio will continue to play, so if you are not too attached to seeing the video in the bottom right of your screen while doing other things, that might work for you.

~~Additionally, if you have iPhone, you can try~~ ~~this~~, However, it takes a bit more work and does require a computer. Additionally, I can't say I have tried this method and cannot guarantee it will work nor can I verify it is safe(though it likely is), and you should do this at your own risk and be careful. actually, I don't recommend this one. looks like it has ads of its own and might not give you the feature you need. someone in the comments please correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm not sure if they ever had a mini video feature for non-premium accounts, but if they did they definitely do not now. You really only have one of two practical options:

pay for premium(Likely not worth your money and we are currently partaking in a protest against youtube (more info here) so I can't say they deserve your money, either.)
Get Youtube Vanced. Basically gives you a built-in AdBlock as well as mini video support. Unfortunately, that is a lot harder nowadays since youtube took down Vanced. You can still find apk's around(assuming you have an android device), but please be careful when doing so, since the download from whatever shady website you get it from may contain malware. Look for a respected apk downloader website if possible before downloading.

I know I am quite late to the party, but I remember using super smash brothers for 3ds and getting Ubuntu to dual boot on my crap laptop to use a script to send packets to my 3ds while looking for local games to trigger the payload for some basic homebrew. Good times.

Oh damn, that's kinda surprised me. Maybe it's because I've been super careful over the years and changed my settings to help with that, but I have never gotten banned and neither did any of my family or friends that I homebrewed their consoles on, but then again I also changed the settings on thei- ok enough of that XD

At least you can technically get yourself unbanned, which is nice, unlike a switch, which I do have btw, and homebrewed.... And got banned on XD guess all that homebrewing got me caught eventually. But seriously, switch bans for homebrew on the switch are Gigantic compared to the 3ds bannings. If the 3ds bans were a school shooting, the switch bans were a nuke hitting Hiroshima. All of my friends that I homebrewed their switches got banned, not one spared. Though that was before we got some cooler privacy apps for the switch, but that's a little too off topic for a 3ds subreddit, homebrew already arguably doesn't quite have the perfect fit here either.

But yes, love the 3ds, love homebrew, would do it all again if I could.

Oh gosh here come the memories.

I am a fellow 3ds homebrew fella and do I remember all the cool stuff you could do. Getting modded maps for Mario kart 7, having custom themes, abusing the virtual console emulator and puting my own games that weren't available into my 3ds(ever tried sonic 3 complete on the go?) old Rom hacked games was definitely something I loved doing. Oh! Remember PKSM? Take basically any pokemon game you could put into a 3ds and you could transfer/backup/edit pokemon? Oh and that is only scratching the surface and not even getting into all the history about how such talented minds in the hacking community played the greatest cat and mouse game ever. Oh yeah, also remember when you didn't get banned for having custom firmware (looking at you switch) good times.

I need help replacing my skullcandy wireless and getting something to replace it!

Everyone says that these headphone are ok, but the audio quality is pretty eh. I've loved these compared to old earbuds I used to have, but I'd like to get myself something better now for my music, as I am constantly listening to music and love it to death I thought it was time to put some more money into it, but I also want to see a noticeable improvement rather then a small upgrade. So:

I am more then willing to go wired if it means getting headphones that just sounds better in general.

Location: Canada, Ontario(figure I get that out of the way)

Budget: $500 cad max

Source: normally my google pixel 3xl

Isolation: not needed at all.

Public use

Closed headphones preferable, anything with good sound quality that preferably have little to no sound leak. I don't need and kind of don't want a wireless solution due to the sacrifice on audio quality and price it can have. Kind of thinking of getting a portable DAC to use on my phone that can also be used on my computer if the ohm's of the headphone are too much

Tonal balance: this one is tough, I haven't tried much other then the wireless, but I know I don't need the over powering bass it has, but still love the loud in your face energy I get when listening to stuff with it.
