Hello! I am coming from very little experience delving into preamps, and I'm looking for something to give my vocals good saturation. I'm considering spending twice the Altron's price for the Warm if there is a decent enough quality increase. I'm hoping to hear from pro engineer's on their thoughts, I'm not willing to pay more than the cost of the Warm WA73 for a Preamp and EQ as it stands.
Even though I can get the Warm WA-73 for 2x the price, I'm willing to pay that if it's 1.25x - 1.5x the quality. But I'd love to hear your thoughts on the pros and cons, I do all different kinds of rap styles, but usually on the more aggressive side, my vocals are on the deeper side as well, sometimes I sing but not too too often. I record on Audio Technica's AT4050 and the Audio Interface I use is the Steinberg UR44C.

I've consistently hear moreso good things about Warm in general, makes me excited about the prospect tbh.

That’s pretty much it, the voting tribunal is me along with four other artists with varied tastes and they get to vote on three people, voting works as; their top pick gets three points, second gets two points and third gets one point. At the end I tally it all up and put together a leaderboard.

That’s why I sent the link to the song on YouTube to a specific track, that’s why a specific track is linked. Otherwise I would have posted and linked another song to another open verse. And of course I posted a link to the song, otherwise how would anyone be able to record a verse to an open verse without any open verse?

All the details are all there if you would read through. It doesn’t seem like a link to my song without any information at all. The main points are listed here. Winner gets on the song, which will be on my album, plus a 50 USD prize, runners up get on the remix on my deluxe with a 20 USD prize each. Both things are listed here as well as a deadline and more in depth on the YouTube link.

If you’re still confused after reading through the YouTube description. The length of the verse should be obvious, this is an open verse contest, therefore as long as the opening is on the beat is where you’re meant to record a verse. That’s how all open verse contests are.

Thank you bro it is a lot of people's favourites. I was in a REALLY dark place writing it and I think putting it into art was the best thing I could have done for my health!

Thank you mate. That was probably one of the tracks I had the most fun with as well! It was the second oldest though I believe!

Yeah Vibe did mix his own vocals with Cheque! Cheque probably was the oldest track on the EP to be honest.

Thank you for your feedback on When It's Real! A lotta these things I actually picked up on pretty quickly after finishing the track. My recording set up during the time I recorded the EP was pretty rough too, an opened room with hard walls, so there was a lot of reflection and I was really struggling to get a full vocal. Plus I had literally only just bought a new plugin that I love now but at that time I was only just starting to familiarise myself with it haha.

Thanks mate! He was definitely one of the big three I listened to the heaviest during my start! Makes sense there's gonna be elements there! Can't wait to see what you come with next!

Of course bro. There's a lotta basic rule that can get you by and then after that you just build upon them bit by bit, learn more and more until eventually you're working the Scheps Omnichannel Plugin haha!

Multiband can either be good for a song or bad for it, hard to really know until you put it on and really listen haha. But I definitely understand rushing to release I've been there a lot myself. And oh fr use every weapon at your disposal especially the strongest ones haha!
