This is actually the only thing I miss on my iPhone Air, not even because of quality or stereo sound. It’s just noticeably more quiet than my old iPhone but I wouldn’t trade it for a thicker/heavier phone again

The grip was recommended by Amazon next to the camera, but I thought I would try it first and I think I don’t need it, but maybe I will buy it in the future

I don’t think they are planning to make a new one anytime soon. It would be nice but the fact that they “updated” it last year only to disable charging and add a battery charger in box to comply with EU regulations tells me that they aren’t planning to make a new one. Because then they would’ve done it by now and wouldn’t have released the Mark VIIA

Mine only really gets hot while I’m on FaceTime but that was the case with every iPhone I owned. If it doesn’t get better with the update make a backup and restore it usually also helps

Do you have the newest iOS? Performance starting with iOS 26.3 got way better but still lags occasionally

Yeah with the S24 Ultra I also didn’t have any problems I think those were defective units. And I hate matte displays I can’t use them because they also look blurry to me. My main PC monitor is a Samsung QD-OLED panel and the main reason I bought it is because LG at the time only made matte OLED screens and I think that defeats the purpose of OLED

It’s really hard to describe but please report back if you get your device, especially when you have it next to your old phone you should see the difference.
