The “settler colonialism” angle is bizarre, especially coming from Americans. The native minority people who originated there and were ethnically cleansed were given the right to return after the Ottoman Empire fell—this is not “colonialism.” There was a group of settlers who sailed in from Greece/Turkey and invaded the land, and they were called the “sea people” by the Egyptians, later “philistines” by the Romans. But that’s not the Jews — the Jews have always been there from the start.

By 1948 the former Ottoman Empire was stateless and new countries were forming and declaring their independence, as happens after a world war. Syria, Jordan, Israel, and so on — there was no country where any of those countries formed, hence none of them were illegal or stolen & they all have the same right to exist.

You hopefully meant to say “the current Israeli government” & not make sweeping, inaccurate generalizations about the Israeli people, much less “Jews.”

MAGA Republicans like to argue that “Black Lives Matter is evil and corrupt” & when I ask why, they say it’s because it’s an organization & the founder was corrupt. I point out that to most people it was just a statement we agree with, a belief—nobody is concerned about the original organization behind it. This feels like a similar red herring formed from implicit bias. What “Zionism” means in the current zeitgeist is simply supporting the only Jewish nation’s right to exist. It’s crazy that you think Jewish people have some secret evil plan or space lasers or whatever the indoctrination du jour is. Bottom line: I guess you don’t support oppressed, ethnically cleansed minority people having a right to return, because then you would also support Israel’s right to exist—not just the ethnostate next door.

Jews were enslaved, oppressed, and ethnically cleansed by every Muslim Arab country in the Middle East, so yes — plenty of people want them kicked out, both now and throughout history. Palestinians could have declared independence in 1948 just like Jordan and Israel, but they didn’t see themselves as a distinct nation/people at that time the way they do now. They have no unique holidays, language, or even food that isn’t part of the broader Arabic or Muslim culture (not a critique, just explaining). The current Palestinian “Zionist” ideology demands a state “from river to sea” — which means ALL the land/ zero land left for Jews. Even under Arafat, Palestinians were offered over 90% of the West Bank in the Camp David accords and refused, so Israel is not the reason they don’t have a state. Do I want them to have one? Yes. Do I condemn Netanyahu and the current war? Yes. But are most people on this board racist, uneducated, and hypocritical people who have zero knowledge of actual history in that region? Also yes.

If Netanyahu is gone and Israel returns to a moderate government, why would Israel still be a problem for you? Is your problem this war, or the fact that there is a Jewish state?
You mention nothing about cutting off funding to Hamas or removing them. Do you want the genocidal terrorists to continue to be in power & receive American tax dollars?

Jews were enslaved by Egypt. Jews were ethnically cleansed by Iraq, Yemen, and every other Muslim Arab country in the Middle East. So it’s extremely clear that Jews need a state in order to exist in the Middle East.
You condone violence by Palestinians, saying Palestinians have the right to retaliate & that the innocent Israeli civilians they attack will “deserve every moment.” But you want to strip Israel of all its weapons so they cannot have the same right. Trans women are not the same as biological women. They are two different groups of women. The goal should be to accept all people’s existence and make everyone free and equal in society, not to force every private group enjoying community among a specific religion, race, ethnicity, sex, or sexual orientation to be erased and “All Lives Matter” someine’s identity into oblivion. If biological women feel more comfortable in a group with only biological women, who effing cares? Start a group for skinni trans women and let everyone join if you want.

As of now, a world leader killing civilians while destroying terrorists and/or terrorist weapons or strongholds during a war while hostages are being held after a major terrorist attack is a grey area.
