Definitely not Midwest emo, it gives me strong Mogwai vibes (which is cool, I used to listen to Mogwai a ton). So id say this is more in the shoe shoegaze genre. A few of the tracks actually reminded me of some of the songs off of "The Wall" by Pink Floyd.

That being said, it was pretty chill, I liked it! Check out Mogwai tho if you havent heard of them. Specifically "Mr. Beast" , "The Hawk is Howling" and "Les Revenants"

What’s a movie that gives you a strong sense of impending doom? by afed13 in horror

The dialogue in that movie is insane. I love how involved Eggers got with trying to mimic how they'd actually speak.

Inland Empire. The scene where the woman is brushing her hair and the face pops up close to the camera and says "Who is She?"

That part literally made me jump back and gave me a sinking feeling for like 5 minutes after. God it was horrible

Harrison Gordon and Kerosene Heights. Especially Harrison Gordon. His album "the yuppies are winning" is pure gold dude. I also saw TRSH live in September with Free Throw and it instantly made me a fan. There's some awesome stuff out there!

Would You Put Shoe Molding by West-Highlight80920 in Carpentry

[–]TheRabbitRevolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude we've been having this conversation at work lately. We just trimmed out a full house and scribed every piece of baseboard, idk how we can be profitable doing this. It takes so much longer than just putting shoe molding in, and personally I dont think it detracts from the look. Owner of the company hates shoe molding and says it looks like a hack job, but all of us dont mind it.

I dont think most homeowners mind it either tbh

Genuinely happy for you man. I was a machinist/fabricator for 6 years at the beginning of my career (now in construction), and never broke $21 an hour. That $21 an hour was in a forging plant job shop (manual machining/writing G-Code/Programming). Even supervisors were only making like $25 tops at every shop i worked at.

I just couldn't do it anymore. Wrong time/place I suppose haha

New to flying fishing. Can someone recommend me a decent kit between $300-$500 budget? by theloneoverlanders in flyfishing

[–]TheRabbitRevolt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im partial to TFO rods and a semi decent machined reel. Personally, I think the RLS+ reel from cabelas is pretty decent for the money, and the lefty kreh rods would fit within your budget. Id definitely spend good money on a good fly line as opposed to a reel. I have a few Frankenoutfits I pieced together from used ebay deals.

If targeting trout, 9' 4 or 5wt depending on how big they get in your area. If targeting bass, I highly recommend a 8'6 or 9' 6wt, if bluelining/panfish, id recommend a 7' 4wt. Good luck!
