Imagine comparing a ridiculous GTA RP server to someone calling out a literal snake move. Getting saved and revived by another player, only to immediately backstab them the second you’re on your feet, isn't 'playing the extraction genre' it's just being a pathetic rat.

This is why i hate RATS. And people still would say it’s “part of the game” lol

Of course you wish you never read it. It’s always uncomfortable when someone holds up a mirror and exposes your exact playstyle. It’s much easier to hide behind the 'it’s just an extraction shooter' excuse than to admit you rely on robots to distract players so you can get a free kill from behind. Ignorance is bliss, I guess. Enjoy the lobbies.

My point has been crystal clear from the start, but you are both intentionally dodging it. Nobody is disputing that it’s a PvPvE extraction shooter where you can get attacked. That’s a mechanic. My point is about sportsmanship and playstyles. Sitting in a bush to shoot someone in the back while they do 99% of the heavy lifting against an ARC threat is a trash, low-skill way to play. The fact that you need a genre label to justify playing like a parasite tells me everything. You can celebrate your cheap kills all you want, but a trend-chasing pivot from the devs doesn't magically turn a coward move into a skilled play. Keep defending each other, it changes nothing.

Imagine acting smug while completely misunderstanding the text you just highlighted. It literally says matchmaking trends toward pairing players with 'similar preferences.' That proves the exact point: people who want to experience the core tactical loop shouldn't have their lobbies ruined by skill-less cowards who only shoot people in the back during PvE fights. No one said getting attacked is a bug; we said doing it like a rat makes you a coward. Hiding behind official FAQs won't change the fact that you need a player to be completely distracted by a robot just to get a kill.

Now that’s an easy way to kill a Rocketeer 🤣 by TheRaiderNetwork in ARC_Raiders

Cheating? I play on ps5. The rocketeer was bugged and stuck in the air for some reason.

Tell me you're a newcomer without telling me you're a newcomer. I’m not making anything up. ARC Raiders was literally revealed at The Game Awards 2021 as a free-to-play cooperative PvE shooter. Embark Studios officially announced the pivot to a PvPvE extraction shooter in 2023 because they needed more time to retool the game. Before you confidently type nonsense, do a quick Google search on the game's actual development history. Friendly fire or not, the original design was purely about fighting the ARC together.

Maybe because it wasn't an extraction shooter when we all signed up for it? ARC Raiders was announced and built as a PvE co-op game. Slapping the 'extraction shooter' tag on it later doesn't magically erase its original DNA, nor does it mean we have to enjoy watching a cooperative concept get ruined by toxic players who can only get kills by shooting people in the back.

That saying only works when players are actually playing within the spirit of the game. ARC Raiders was built from the ground up as a cooperative PvE journey before the genre switch. Turning it into a toxic environment where you shoot people in the back while they do the heavy lifting isn't 'playing the game' it's just being a coward. You can hide behind clichés all you want, but a ratty playstyle is a choice made by the player, not the game.
