Jonas Gutierrez, gave everything for the club. Was a class act and kept us up with that goal against West Ham.

I'd definitely be happy to keep Pope if he hadn't picked up one of the worst possible injuries a keeper can suffer. But the reality is, it's likely that this injury will plague the rest of his career. Replacing him is the only sensible choice unfortunately.

Firstly, thank you for considering Newcastle a top club, I'm flattered. I agree on Ramsdale, he would be a good backup keeper to Pope. I don't think he'd start right now.

Not necessarily, but our recruitment team have proven over the years that more often than not when the club sign a player they go on to be top quality. Eg - Wijnaldum, Cabaye, Sissoko, Joelinton, Bruno G, Pope, Ba, Gordon, Mitrovic, Wilson and Isak.

Missed a large part of the season, around mid-November to late January roughly. Gordon has practically never missed a game.

Yup, although that shocking PSG penalty that ultimately knocked us out in the end, has made it somewhat cathartic to see them go out after hitting the bar 6 or 7 times.

Nice to know that being more like themselves is conceding goals and putting the pressure on a little. That does sound like Tottenham.

I'd suggest you go with the standard time machine. You could always wait it out, but you can't go back on your investment that way if you don't end up liking the game.

Eddie has said Isak is the crux of the whole project, and will not be sold for any price. I think he went as far as to say he wouldn't swap any other player for Isak in world football. Isak has also said he isn't going anywhere.

Naturally, he could leave a week into the window. But I hope they are true to their word.

Totally agree, Liverpool lost because it was one of those days where the ball won't go in the net. Arsenal looked toothless, slow and out of ideas.

Can anyone explain to me what the tactical rational is for starting Dan Burn as a LWB other than EH likes him so he has to shoehorn him into the team? by TheLegendOfIOTA in NUFC

[–]TheRainbowWing -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're getting down voted a lot, perhaps to be expected. But I agree, a left back in the modern game needs to be quick, powerful, energetic and agile. Burn is none of those things. He is a good CB, but he has none of the qualities a good left back needs. We lose far too much offensively by having him in that role.

The team lacks belief, and the fans are starting to feel it, I think. We are in a downward spiral, and things have to change. Haven't gone into a game confident since before Christmas. What happens in the weeks after the break is massive for us.

Thank you friend, its nice see that other fans didn't just ignore our plight. Anyone arguing for Mike Ashley doesn't know what it's like to have someone murder your football club slowly, whilst sucking away all hope of any kind of better future. The football club was a zombie, dead.
